It has protected my phone from several high speed throws from my kids, mud, water, soup, meatballs...
It is a tough case!
However, it is too bulky!
And with the belt clip - it almost unusable for it's weight and size.

The rubber coating is starting to peel after 1.5 months.
Other than that. It is still protecting my phone.
Pros: very impact resistant
Cons: bulky, heavy, poor rubber coating, diminishes mic input

The Otter box Armor version has saved my iPhone 5 twice since I've had it. One time I dropped the phone (in the case) into my grand daughter's bath water and the iPhone survied. The second time I dropped it in a toliet and it survied. I can drop it on the floor from the table top without worring about it getting broken. All in all, it is the best iPhone case on the market.

I purchased the armor case for a new iPhone 5s without realising that it was designed for the previous model. It fits perfectly and provides the protection for my phone that I have come to expect from Otterbox (I previously had a defender case on an iPhone 3GS). Obviously, the new finger print scanner doesn't work on the 5s with the armor case, but that is more than made up for by the rugged protection afforded my phone. Also, I love the styling of the Armor case, it looks really cool, and I've had many positive comments about it.

I have the Armor Series case for my iPhone 5 and love it. I have a white iPhone so i went with the Arctic color. The only issue I've had with the case is that the front panel was starting to "yellow" after only a month. I contacted Otterbox and they sent me a new one. Fantastic protection for my iPhone and amazing customer service.
Pros: High quality, Durable, perfect protection, great customer service

The iPhone 5 Armor is great and very secure, but heavy. The new belt-clip is poor quality and not normal for Otter products.
However, you do not have a choice if you use the Armor case to protect your phone. The belt clip design is very poor and not as good as the iPhone 4 belt clip.

Well, I just received my iPhone 5 Otterbox Armor Series case and I do have to say, I am impressed!!!! I have been using the Defender Series since my first iPhone 3G and have only bought OtterBox cases for any and all of my smartphones (okay, just iPhone 3G, 3GS and 5). THE BEST
cases around, sturdy, well made, easy installation and they look really good too!!! I had an incident at work by dropping my iPhone around 4 to 5 feet high while climbing down a ladder to check on some cables in a man hole, was sure it was okay, it was, but the kicker was, if the man hole had any standing water my expensive iPhone would have bit the dust!!! So I finally decided to look into the Armor Series covers again, I looked at them when they were talking about them and was interested, but did not want to spend that much money on a case and they did not have a holster yet for it. OtterBox had a sale going and I just could not pass it up!! I ordered one after talking to some reps at OtterBox about it, and so far I like what I see and hold. Will send an update later after using!!!

Have had my case for a little less than a year. My phone goes everyplace I go and my otterbox has done a great job of keeping it safe. I kayak, hike, snowboard, and my phone is still brand new inside the otterbox. My case did finally crack on the front after lots of hard use, so I filled out the warranty info and was sent a new one. Product backing like that in this day and age is rare. So over all very happy. Have recommended it to many close friends and family.

I have an iPhone5 and initially purchased a competitor's case due to its' advertised waterproof feature, however its' flimsy, thin, top screen was a nuisance when attempting to activate apps plus the sound quality was terrible. Shortly after getting this case, OtterBox introduced their waterproof Armour series. Having had 3 other OtterBox cases (all Defender models) for a BlackBerry plus 2 iphones, and loving their ruggedness, it was an easy decision to ditch the first case and purchase an Armour case. OtterBox Defender and Armour cases won't win any beauty contests, but their toughness and durability qualitities more than make up what they may lack in the elegance department! I love the simplicity in opening the Armour case; spring 2 latches and the iPhone is readily accessible. Knocking the phone off of the dining room table, onto a tiled floor, has not damaged either the case or the phone. In the 8 months that I have had the Armour case, I have had only 1 complaint and that involved the top, white part of the case turning a beigy-yellow. After contacting OtterBox and questioning how I could restore the original whiteness, I was asked to submit a photo of the case. Within an hour, I was informed that OtterBox was sending me a full, new Armour case, at no charge, from California to Toronto! So, with a product like the Armour case, and the service to back it, I would not hesitate to purchase another one, nor to recommend it to my iPhone-carrying friends! Keep up the great work OtterBox!
