I ordered this case as soon as I bought my iPhone 5s and I've done with my 4, iPad and even my girlfriends iPhone 5. I'm an avid outdoorsman and thought something that was waterproof would be perfect for me so I got this case. I am slightly disappointed with some features though. I can't hear when talking on the handset (I have good hearing and am in no way deaf) so unless I roll up the windows in my vehicle and put it on speaker and open the speaker protection port I'm unable to hear. I don't like the fact that I can't use my fingerprint reader on my device (I was unaware of the iPhone 5s specific case at he time of the purchase.) the only other part I'm unhappy with is the bulkyness of the item since I do constantly pull the phone out of my pocket for work and school and basically do everything on my device. I wish I would have known of the iPhone 5s specific case because I would have purchased it since I do love the waterproof and protection this case does offer and that case is a slimmer design along with a lighter weight. Overall this case is a great case, I'm an engineering student and in and out of and also work another job so it does offer the water, dust/dirt, and crushing resistance I do need. If I had the money and were done with school I'd purchase the other one and give this one to my girlfriend since the one I purchased her has seen better days but can't afford it. I am and will always be an customer due to the awesome products I've

My only complain is the toggle for the Ring/Silent button does not work. It does not reach the toggle on the phone. The old cover worked perfectly.
If this can be fixed I would give the cover a 5 overall.

My first case has been dropped in water...has been dropped on a cement floor at least 4 times. And usually on edge ! Was stuck in a snow jam with it on an outer pocket. Dust storms and rain storms....it came thru them all with absolutely no problems! Also, it is easier to put in and out of your pocket than previous cases I have had. It does not stick to your pocket insides. Love it..thats why I bought another one. Great product!

Proximity sensor issues remain a problem with this case IF you own a white phone.
Sound quality is poor on calls, requiring one to use the speaker.
Dropped my case from 3' and cracked the glass.

Water Damage!!!

I used the armor case for my iphone 5 on vacation to the Bahamas with my wife. Worked great the first 4 days, did its waterproof duties, took lots of pics that we thought would make great memories of our vacation. On the last day there the case decided to not be waterproof. While standing in chest high water I pulled my phone out of my pocket and to my surprise, water that had accumulated in the case. Needless to say my phone no longer works. The worst part is all my vacation pictures are gone. Called Otterbox and good news... they can replace the defective case with a new one that I wont trust again. I would definitely not suggest using it in water. Use at your own risk.
Pros: easy to install
Cons: ruined my phone
