I had this cover before and when I had to take it off it never went back on tight, I bought a new one and it never went on tight to begin with so while it looks great and keeps my phone from getting crushed the phone will get dirty, all along the seal of the 2 parts dust and dirt and debris can get in. When I took the cover off to replace, the phone was filthy inside and it will be again now with my new one. I like the look but I will have to buy a new case if I want to keep the phone clean as well. No way it could be waterproof, water could go right through the gap. I wish they made the new stronger one for the 5s in black and white, I bought this for the color but can't use my fingerprint function. I wish they sold one that fixed the flaw in this one but had the color choice I wanted so I didn't have to have a 5 cover on my 5s. Also, car chargers do not fit in the hole in this cover.
Pros: phone won't get crushed, color is awesome
Cons: phone will get dirty, definitely not waterproof

I am sorry but we are not very happy with this product, after a good water test, my doughter used it for underwater photo's but than she found out that there was water inside the case, and her phone was wet.

The hing pins wear on the plastic case causing the pin hole to eventually become bigger then the pin falls out.

This case is the ultimate recently purchased the holster and that made it even better! Great protection from many drops and even a Kayak spill, my phone is still in great shape! I have recommend this case many times. When friends and co-workers see the holster they have to get one !

I've had two of these cases. The first one had a leak. Otterbox exchanged it without any problems! Be aware, this case is quite bulky...but you will not worry about damaging your iphone.

While I really do like the Armor case, if it dropped from just a couple of feet, lands on left side of the case, it will indeed pop the back of the case open. While a full length lock in design was put along the entire side of the case one side, the other side has no pin, detent, nor anything to fix it in place, nor allow the back of the case to move the hinges ever so slightly outwards, allowing the back to pop open....and it has been replaced several times....all the same. Great quality, but it will not hold up to a drop of the distance Otterbox claims. The membranes are very thin, unprotected, on the bottom of the case also, so care must be taken not too plug in your phone too quickly, puncturing the membrane...which I had done on two cases and had to use a dot of VLP (Liquid Vinyl) to repair the case membranes....
Pros: Durable, very nice stainless hinge, overall design exceptional, oring ports well done
Cons: Not durable, design flaw, very delicate membrane, back can pop open with drop

I have had my Otter Armor case since I upgraded my phone in the beginning of 2013. Being a mechanic in my civilian job and a Cavalry Scout in the NG I needed a rugged phone case and it did not pay off more until we went to summer camp this last month. Spending a total of 18 days in the field and moving in on and around vehicles and field exercises my phone case took a beating with no damage to my phone. I did note that as others have stated the case has started to show some wear but that is to be expected. I for one am just glad that I had my Armor case when I looked at the phones of others in my platoon that did NOT fair as well with broken, cracked and shattered screens. Some with protective cases some without.
Pros: High quality, Durable
Cons: no belt cliip, bulky
