Ive put it in water, taken it in the shower, dropped and stepped on is and nothing beats this case. However, its difficult to hear and be heard. Thats my only gripe. Other than that I bought it to protect and it does exactly that, amazingly!!!!
Pros: High quality, Durable, waterproof to the max, you can shower with it and listen to music
Cons: hearing, being heard, more colors
I would recommend this to a friend!

Major problem with this case I had was everyone would say they can hardly hear me or were constantly saying HUH.... Got extremely frustrating, so stopped using case and have no problems.
Pros: Durable
Cons: hard to hear
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I don't normally write product reviews. But i'm very satisfied with both the product and the customer support from Otter, that I couldn't refuse to write a quick review. The first thing I tried on my case was the water leaking test. I placed my case in a tub of water (without my phone of course), along with a piece of paper inside of it. After a few attempts, the paper inside was wet. I looked thoroughly at all the cracks and O-rings. There was a single spot that looked worned out. After contacting Otter support, and specifying the issue along with pictures of the suggested issue. They shipped out a brand new case instantly. I got the new one and had zero leaks. The protection is amazing, i've dropped my phone plenty of times on various surfaces without a scratch on the case as well. The only downside of this amazing case, is the bulkiness. Although friends and family make fun of it, I still suggest this case for the ultimate protection.

I water tested this case before using it. The water testing went fine. Then I took the case to the pool. My phone was okay, and did not get soaked, but moisture and water droplets got inside of the case. Before getting into the pool, I made sure all the pieces that open were securely closed and water still got in. I'm not sure why this is. It is a good case for protection from dropping, etc., but it is not fully waterproof like it claims. The first Armor case I bought was the one with bright green and it had the same problem so I know now (now that I bought and had the same issue with the orange one) that it is not just the one case.
Pros: good for protectice from drops etc.
Cons: not waterproof

I bought this otterbox for my daughter and it's great protection but if you want to talk on your phone, it's very hard to hear the person on the other end. Thinking about sending it back.

I just recently purchased an iPhone 5S and wanted the most protection I could get. Otterbox had that covered, after much research otterbox blew lifeproof out the water!
The case is a bit bulky, but understandable for the amount of protection it provides.
The only real issue I encountered was the charging hole. I bought a few extra iPhone 5 charging cords, 10 foot long from a different company. The charging hole on the otterbox will only fit the original charging cable. I had to cut the 3 extra 10ft cords I bought to have them fit with the case on.
Pros: Durable

Overall the case does what it's designed to do. The only real issue I have with the Armor is the call volume coming from the ear piece. It is very low even though I have my phone volume turned up all the way which unfortunately, is a deal breaker for me. I know that it has to be sealed for water/dust protection but the volume on the ear piece really suffers. I'm hoping this can some how be addressed but for now, I'll have to return this case and go back to the defender.

Cons: call volume on ear hole is very low due to seal.

Worth the money

I was looking for an IPhone five case that offered serious protection and the Amor series offers just that and more. My cellphone has slipped out of my hands on a few occasion, and I'm very happy that it was in the Amor series case because the case is design to take falls, bumps and much more. Once my cellphone fell while in the garage of my apartment building on the solid concrete and the only thing that was scratched was the case and not the phone. The water test was a success and I have even used by cellphone while it was raining outside and the case has lived up to its reputation of being waterproof as well. I have tried both the Lifeproof and Ballistic Hydra series cases, but they cannot be compared to the OtterBox Amor Series case. The previous two cases offered waterproof protection but very poor communication clarity when making and receiving phone calls. While I did encounter some clarity issues with the Amore Series intermittently, it was easily resolved by fixing the covering inside the case where you speak into. Even though the Otterbox case does not come with a holster like the Ballistics Hydra series case, or the Lifeproof case that you can purchase the holster separately. It still is an overall well built case and anyone purchasing it would not have any regrets. Plus in the line of work I do, it is great to have a cellphone case that can standup to the punishment of the day-in and day-out of my job.
