I bought this to protect my phone. My job, working on a farm with horses, is rough and tumble and the case has saved my phone on several occasions. It has been dropped, stepped on, sat on, etc. and the phone is 100%.
It can be a little hard to speak to people on the phone ( I think all the protection mutes the mic pick up ), but I use speaker mode and they hear me fine.

The case design is poor since the case does not keep it's integrity when using phones or charging the unit. Also the microphone placement could allow for better design as the mic becomes more muted.
Love the case otherwise, the quality and protection are all you expect from Otter. Amazingly secure in using my case to keep phone safe. I tend to need the protection an Otter offers. Would recommend Otter ... not this case.

Case is fine. Buttons require a little too much effort to press. Makes unite very bulgy, but I can trade this off for the protection.

Overall, this is a great case that offers outstanding protection. It withstands drops just like advertised. I'm sure it will withstand as much downward pressure as advertised (not quite willing to drive across it) and the waterproofness is as stated. Extremely easy to install (clean your phone, place inside the cover, & close the 2 latches; no stretching and twisting to get things just right). It fits my hand, although I can see where it could be a touch large for those with smaller hands. The lanyard is a nice touch, just not too "manly". All of the ports are all easily accessible; no problem when charging or inserting earbuds. Finally, I appreciate the clean lines and the fact that there is not too much rubber around the edge.
Having said that, there are a couple of things I think could be better. I had to file a warranty claim (Otterbox could not have been more easy to work with). Because I often carry the phone in my back jeans pocket, the rubber coating that encases the outside edge of the phone separated from the case over the latches (you will have to see the case to know where I mean). This in no way takes away from the protection; it's more or less a cosmetic thing.
I have also noticed that my phone apparently doesn't always recognize that it is against my face and will sometimes mute or switch to facetime during a conversation (cheek contacts the corresponding "button"). I spoke to the phone's manufacturer about this and they told me that Otterbox is not on their "approved" list. When I asked them what they had that was on this list, all they could show me was some cases that offer no protection, other than to protect the rear of the phone from scratches. When I asked them if they have no cases that really protect the phone because they would rather sell phones than protect phones, all they could do was shrug their shoulders.
Pros: ease of installation, right size, high degree of protection
Cons: lends itself to slight cosmetic damage

the phone case works well and is built well. i did drop my phone once and the back of the case dislodged. This was an easy fix and haven't had any problems. I have had both the otterbox and lifeproof cases. The otterbox is more bulky, however it's more durable. I love the phone case.
The design of the belt holster is probably the worst design i have ever seen. it is not duty friendly, sitting too low on the belt. this comes from the belt clip being mounted too high on the back of the holster, causing the holster to dig into my hip and when this happens, the magnets will not hold and constantly gets caught on my seatbelt.
Pros: Durable

This phone case is by far the best one out there. It is sturdy and has a very good look. I bought it for my Fiance whom is a police officer, it works perfectly with his job because he does not need to worry about it breaking if dropped and its water proof so when he is working in the rain it is safe.
