Good Protection, but bad design

Overall I am happy with the durability and appearance of the case. Unfortunately, its designers did not do their research very well. Apple's recommendation for car chargers is a standard plug Apple charger, with the Apple Lightning adaptor. The lightning adaptor does not fit this case out of the box. However, my husband and I have found that if you take a pocketknife or metal file and file down the plastic on the lightning adaptor, it will fit the case; however, doing so exposes the metal and creates a potential fire/shock hazard. Hopefully Otterbox will correct this problem in the next go round. I have seen some negative reviews surrounding call volume/quality and port accessibility. I have experienced some call quality degradation, but have had no isses with the ports. It seems that Otterbox, in their rush to get this case out there, bypassed many of their usual quality testing.
Pros: Durable
Cons: lightning adaptor incompatibility

Well made and thought out. I really like the latches and how easy it is to install and remove the phone. It does make the phone bulky, but considering the level of protection I feel it is worth it.

tried the Armor- NOT water resistant.

We bought several Armor cases for our Iphones in late January. Within two months, the rubber parts started showing wear. One just around the hinges, but the two that are mainly carried in pockets, are looking very ragged 4 months later.
The worst part though- is that the Armor is listed as waterproof on the website. That was proven VERY wrong this weekend. While out with the family, my phone was set down (fully encased and with all ports closed) on a chair near the water's edge of a local lake. The chair blew over with the wind, and the phone fell just on the edge of water, maybe half submerged by an inch of water. We immediately took it out of the case, and it "seemed" pretty dry inside, but we decided to leave it in a bag of rice for several days anyway to be sure. Well, when we plugged it in to charge today, it did power on, but with a LOT of obvious water damage. I guess I will be getting a new phone, and will NOT be buying any case from Otterbox.

Cons: Not durable, not water resistant, heavy, hard to hear when on a call, quiets the ringtone makes hard to hear

I love this case! that being said, when the case is on my phone, my proximity sensor won't work which becomes slightly irritating. When it stays on, my face will hit buttons on the screen while im talking. As soon as I remove the case, my proximity sensor will work fine.
Pros: High quality, Durable, clean look, cool colors, easily removed
Cons: interferes with proximity sensor, bulky
