My case arrrived faulty and failed 2 water tests.

Bought online here (iPhone 5 Arctic) on 2/22/13 and case arrived today(2/28/13). It was apparent from opening package that my case didn't align well- gap I could easily see between the front and back. I decided to go ahead and try it- thinking maybe just poor placement in box or etc. I've had good experiences with past iPhone defender cases so hoped it would be fine. Nope. Case will not fit snug and of course failed the water testing. It's a huge and heavy case- very, very bulky. Not worth this amount of trouble. Side note- it's a complete pain to open the rubber seal to charge or for headphone if you have fingernails- mine are very short and the strength required still split my thumbnail. Seems like this rubber would weaken or break with time from stress usage- there should be an easier way to access the ports.
Cons: Low quality, heavy, not usual otterbox quality, hard to access bottom ports
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Real Armor for my Iphone5

Im very pleased with this case, I'm a Trash Truck Driver and my cab is the dustiest place, very bad for a phone. I've had the defender and although its good for drops, it does nothing for water or dust. I've only had this for a week but so far so good. Thanks Otterbox

Don't get me wrong. I love otterbox. I have the defender case on my iPad, and on both iPhone 5's. I'm around the water a lot so when the new case came out I was in awe. I fully trusted the case. Tested it first. Dry as a bone until you put a phone in it. Yes your gonna have distorted sound that's a given. But when you say water PROOF people trust you. If a name like otterbox says this is the ultimate case I should be able to let in drag in the water down the river and pull it up after taking a beating and it be fine. But all I did was have in on the tube and water splashing on it and my phone was soaked. Not only do I have a $100 case I will never use again but now I also have a $500 paper weight. I did the rice thing and I lost everything because my phone will not come back on. Then $200 for a new phone. I never liked the lifeproof case because it doesn't make me feel secure however at least they will warranty my phone. So if you want water protection go with lifeproof. If you like your phone Do NOT trust this case. As for durability, work site. All day long.

Cons: Low quality, not water proof

I purchased my Armor case for my iPhone 5 today! I'm a seriously tough critic of phone cases, and OtterBox has exceeded my expectations with this glorious case! I love the look of the Armor case, and the feel is amazing! It feels rugged and solid! I'm an athlete and on the go all the time. It's very important to me to have a case that eliminates any worry about the safety of my phone! I've used the LifeProof case and while the idea was good, it was not executed even marginally as well as the Armor case! Fantastic job OtterBox!

Love this case, Perfect for work or the outdoors, The one thing I love most about it is how easy it is to put my phone in and take out of the case

Great item with few flaws

I really enjoy my case. Its made to last. It went together very smooth. However a few bad things about this case is. Its nearly impossible to find a car charger. I have looked every where to find a car charger that will fit inside the port and none of them will. You have to use the Stock Apple charge cord. Which is a headache to drag around. The other flaw is it dont have a belt clip. This unit needs a built clip for sure. Other than them two problems I say this is one heck of a case. I am in the outdoors doing all sorts of crazy activities which is the reason I picked this. I have had a lot of different cases but this is my favorite as of now.

Cons: no belt clip, hard to find car chargers

Complete Waterproof with all the bells and whistles. Only problem is that the back does scratch very easily, so you may want to watch putting it where it could get scratched. Overall Excellent Case!
Pros: High quality, Durable, waterproof, protection
Cons: scratches easily
