Disappointed

I purchased this product in hopes it would provide clear video to monitor our first child. I have had it for almost a year now and I am extremely disappointed in this product. It is not as advertised. I am glad it is now discontinued so others can't purchase this product. I have numerous complaints about this device.
1. As seen in the ads, the video is clear, colourful and crisp looking. This is far from the truth. It does not produce any vibrant colours, in fact it will produce a purple hue most of the time;
2. I do like the fact you can control the angle from the hand held monitor, however, it is slow in response;
3. The connection on the power cord to the monitor is poor in design. It is easily damaged. It can bend causing a poor connection causing the monitor to sporadically charge/not charge. Having to turn the cable and hoping it starts to charge is not ideal for an electronic device. Then when it starts charging you hope it stays there and charges all the way, which it doesn't and the battery drains without you realizing it until it starts beeping at 2am, even though it is plugged in; and
4. The monitor display is on a timer and will not stay on. There should be an option to have it stay on without the screen going black. It does go on when a baby makes a noise, but there are times when you don't want the black screen and want it to stay on for viewing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great product, ease of use, great night vision.

Overall the product is great. I like the night vision, the battery life is tremendously extended when using PEEP mode. It's really the only way you can get hours out of the device. Range on this unit is quite impressive. I can actually keep the signal across my street at my neighbors home. I like the color coded led for how loud Brooke is if she cries. My issues were initially with battery life, PEEP mode solves this, thanks to Treasure, and unfortunately my pan feature works intermittently. Another downfall was the egg shape, very difficult for viewing and set up.
My 5 star review is really around customer service. Treasure Saccone has helped me as my unit was defective. Her response time and attention to detail is impressive. Owning a business and dealing with clients everyday. I would hire her in a second. Truly appreciate you and thanks again for all your help.

Gets the job done for the price

This monitor gets the job done of allowing is to see and hear our daughter without having to go into her room, however, the picture quality is not all that great in the dark. Battery life is a factor as it will onky survive 3-4 hours unplugged. I leave it plugged in overnight, so this is an avoidable issue. However, this is my second monitor as the DC plug on the first one became loose and therefore would not charge the monitor. I am sure the updated Levana vidoe monitors are much better now, but hopefully this one will last for another couple of years.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this monitor 1 year ago. Works perfect and has a good battery life!

Updated Review - Dangerous Product, Near Fatality

We have been using this system (Ovia) for over a year now. We needed to expand the number of cameras and this was an affordable option. Our first hand unit got poor reception, Levana delivered us a new one and we sent the old one. The new one did not get any better reception and had another defect. It turns itself off randomly.
One night, I was working late in our home office and when I was walking to the bedroom I heard our infant screaming. I went into the bedroom where my wife was sleeping and the monitor had turned itself off. I ran upstairs and our baby had managed to unswaddle herself and pull the blanket over her face and couldn't get it off. This was a very close call and I fear what could have happened if I had not been up late that evening.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Monitor won't stay on

This monitor has treated us great for 11 months. Just recently it started beeping telling us the battery is low while it is still plugged in. Then it randomly turns off. It's now discontinued so I'm not sure there's anything that can be done to fix it.
I would recommend this to a friend!
