Ovia Great for Toddlers!

I was given an Ovia Monitor to use after the birth of our third child. As the baby was sleeping in our room, I started using the Ovia for our two toddlers who share a room. The clarity of the video monitor was stellar, though I expected nothing less. The great feature that I was not expecting was the two-way voice control. When the toddlers are acting up after bed time, it takes the push of a button to speak with them, and get them to calm down rather than getting them all excited by going into their room. My only complaint is the battery life. Can't make it through a night without plugging the monitor in.

Perfect set for twins

I have been using the product for a year now, and it is perfect to follow my twins around. Camera can see from a good distance in the dark, sound quality is optimal and moving it around is easy. Being able to talk to the baby is nice and i can say it works, so funny to see them search for mom or dad! Also, customer support is awesome. Had an issue with the touch button of the pad and i got a replacement in no time.

I have been using this monitor for about 3 weeks now and have definitely felt a sense of calm knowing that I can get some things done around the house while still keeping an eye on my little one. The sound quality and picture are great for hearing little coos to big cries, as well as seeing little movements to big stirs. I love the pan/tilt/zoom feature, but do wish that the camera could swivel down further. It can tilt all the way up to the ceiling, but it would be more convenient to have it tilt down further than it does up so I can set it on the shelf without having to prop something underneath. Overall though, I am happy with the product.

Good Features but cable stopped charging

Overall I liked the monitor and the features! I do feel that the battery dies quickly. The most disappointing thing is that after only 3 1/2 months use...the charging cable stopped charging the monitor correctly. The cable doesn't connect properly so you have to wiggle, jiggle & mess around with the cable and hope it connects correctly within the port to charge. A lot of money to spend on something that only works properly for 3 1/2 months.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is our 3rd Levana Ovia monitor. Our first had to be replaced by the manufacturer and the 2nd we replaced because the antenna broke (disappointed that we had to purchase a monitor and camera set despite only needing the monitor). This one seems to work better than the first one on which the touch buttons stopped working. The range is not that great; I can only have it in one location in my bedroom and still hear/see the kids. I like the intercom feature and the fact that I can record images as well as videos. The picture is clear and the battery life is similar to other baby monitors. I hope this one holds up for a long time.

Overall the Levana Ovia monitor is an excellent product! I recently switched from the Angel Care video monitor to Ovia for two main reasons. The battery life for Ovia is at least three times longer than the Angel Care product which was always running low after three hours. There is also an extra battery pack with Ovia! The ability to control the angle and pan and zoom is a huge advantage over Angel Care. Ovia is easy to use, has great picture and sound quality and has some neat features like taking pictures and recording video.

I did A LOT of research before selecting the monitor we would purchase for our first baby (due March 2014). We finally settled on this model due to great reviews and the recording features. We're SO glad we did! Out of the box it was easy to use, and works great. The video quality and sound are great, and I can hardly wait to watch our son sleep when he's finally here next month!

This camera and handheld display is very good quality. The detail of the images are excellent and sound is very clear. The first camera is set up in the babies room and it is so clear that you can see whether the eyes are open or shut. I also used the second camera to view our driveway for vehicles coming and going. Again the detail is remarkable, even with snow being on the ground. I highly recommend this product.
