Worth the money

I bought this about a month ago. My wife and I had received another brand and it just wasn't what we wanted. Easy to use, small, good sound and video.

I bought one of the refurbished cameras and was pleased when I got it that it works great! It gets a little confused going from light to dark but has great picture quality for both. Great sound quality too. Can't wait to use it when the baby arrives!

I feel like Big Daddy (a play off Big Brother) when I peer into my son's room and see what he is up to. The Levana Ovia is simple to set up and easy to use. A few of the icons on your hand held device are not obvious, but after exploring and reading the manual, it isn't difficult to use. I like that this system is disconnected from the Internet and wi-fi network. No stress about our system being hacked; not that hackers would really care about my life, but still. I like that I can listen to the baby as well as easily move the camera in many directions. I did place the camera's hind legs on a piece of cardboard to angle the entire camera down as to get a good view of my son's crib from a shelf about seven feet off the ground. I like how easy it is to talk out of the camera as well as play music.

I bought this a few months ago and have been very pleased with it. The color is nothing special and could be better but we can see our little munchkin very well day or night. This is easy to operate and the camera moves so you can see everything in the room. I have relocated the camera two times and with each angle are happy with the results though my wife wants to try another angle to get even a better view. It's easy to use and we like having the two cameras. Its our first camera so we cannot compare but we have no need to as we are satisfied with this one. Sarah, in customer service was great to work with and suggested the cradle which I bought (open box). It was a good move because the cradle is a better stand at night. She helped process the order and made it smooth and pleasant.

I purchased this video monitor less then a year ago and the plug in to charge the video monitor won't work anymore so I can't charge it. Other then this significant issue the picture on the video and other features were good.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The screen is great. Easy to flip back and forth. Sturdy and durable. We use this all over and transport it around the house. The only mechanical failure is that I had to Gorilla glue the charger, which popped apart after being unplugged 100+ times (not always gently). Night vision works well. The one thing that doesn't pick up great: We have a child with major medical issues that is on a monitor that shows Oxygen saturation in red (which shows up well) and heartrate in green (which is a bit fuzzy and sometimes hard to read). We are impressed. We used this for over a year now. Sometimes it doesn't charge (probably due to use) lately if we push the charger all the way into the unit. We have to put it in most of the way, and make sure it is charging.

Good Monitor for Price

Our friend had a similar monitor from Leava that we used when baby sitting. We liked the camera quality and peep mode. We registered for this one and like it so far. Set it up in living room to test since baby isn't due until July. Seems to work well in low light. It does go grey in low light, but that's to be expected. Sound works well on both camera and monitor. The speaker on monitor could be louder. We like that the camera can be wall mounted and might so that in nursery (screws not provided). Took a little bit to figure out controls because the instructions that came with it didn't explain all the features. The manual online was helpful and cleared everything up, so read that first. I'm
