I really like the pan, tilt, and zoom features and would not have purchased unit without it. I have twins that share a crib right now and need to see both babies easily and close up for my peace of mind. I know I could get two cameras, but one good one serves me better at this time. I recommend looking up the user's manual online before you get frustrated because it doesn't come with the camera (going green!) and there were a few things that I couldn't figure out from just fiddling with the monitor.

Got this as a baby shower gift and we are really happy with it so far. Super easy to set up, camera/ video screen is great quality. Sound is clear and I like how the volume button lights up when baby makes sound, just in case we're making a bunch of noise and don't hear the audio it's nice to have a visual notification as well.
My sister has this monitor as well and recommended it to us, I'd recommend it to friends for sure.

camera quality is great. love the tilt zoom function. being able to talk to my child from another room is great too

We bought this for the simplicity to use for video monitoring and the talk to baby option. Peep mode is great during the night so you don't wake unless baby needs you. Very happy!

I bought this monitor just over a year ago and was generally happy with the product. That was until all of a sudden the PEEP mode stopped working. Now in order to hear my son I have to have the monitor on all the time and listen to a whining sound. And of course because I bought it just over a year ago I get nothing. $179 on something that works for less than two years does not impress me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We bought this monitor a month ago after having another monitor that wasn't reliable. I wasn't sleeping well because I was nervous that the other monitor wouldn't work as needed. Finally, I bought the Astra and I love it. PEEP mode is great (although I can't tell the difference between PEEP mode and Power Save) and works instantly. I only wish that the lullabies included white noise. I have read that when adding a 2nd camera to this set, the PEEP mode doesn't work - I really hope this isn't true, or is fixed by the time baby #2 comes. This is a great monitor!
