When it comes to quality, its always difficult for the 1st time parents to decide what is the best suitable product for a newborn baby. I am glad we made a good decision this time.

Great for Elderly

We bought this so we can communicate with my 88 year old mother who can't get out of bed by herself. She often becomes confused at night, so this monitor is perfect for keeping an eye on her so she doesn't sneak out of bed. The talk back feature is wonderful because we can let her know that we are coming which allows her to be patient. Our product didn't come with a manual so we had some confusion at what the buttons meant, but found one online. Sill confused at how the "sound ring" works. It is supposed to change colors with sound, but I haven't noticed that it has. This is a feature I miss because I like to be able to see there is noise besides hearing it. Overall this product meets our needs and is helpful.

We had a purchased a different monitor before getting this one. We like how the cameras rotate and how the screen on the monitor is big. Its simple and easy to use. One feature that we really like is the screen/monitor does not timeout, you are always able to see baby. The one we had prior to this one didn't even stay on for an entire shower.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I previously had just a audio monitors from another company. One of the monitors stopped working and the other one wasn't much better. My granddaughter's parents have this monitor at their house and I loved it so I decided to purchase it. I love being able to see my granddaughter when she's upstairs asleep. When she wakes up she can hear my voice and she instantly quiets down because she knows I'll be in to get her. I would recommend this monitor to anyone.

Buttons break, be ready to use warranty

The buttons and the front of the device (for us it was the directional arrows) break and basically makes the unit unusable. Only had the device for four months, quite disappointing given the cost of the unit. Warranty requires having reciept but also all original packaging (who keeps that) and will take weeks to get a replacement - we can't be without a monitor for that long. What a waste of money.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great but doesn't work in the dark

I got this camera as a baby shower gift for our little girl. It worked great for the first month, and now she is 7 weeks and it no longer works in the dark. When you look at the image in the night vision the image flashes from bright to dark. I don't understand what happened.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Pretty good monitor overall. Clear sound, fairly good range. I haven't experienced any interference from other wireless devices which is a plus. I like the feature to be able to talk to via intercom. The lullaby feature is nice, although very simple short tunes of a few seconds that just keep repeating.
The quality of the colour picture is good, but the quality of the night vision is not as good. It's almost as if there is a haze over the image, but you can still see your child and what they are doing.
There are 4 volume settings (not including silent mode) and I find this makes the lowest setting still quite loud. A more adjustable volume dial would be a bonus.
Overall, would still recommend :)
