great monitor for a great price

For a mid-priced monitor, this one is great! The set up was a breeze, and the features are very easy to use. The screen size is great and we love the pan feature. The battery life is amazing too! It will go days in Peep mode.
The night mode video quality isn't great (but not bad) and for the price, I'm perfectly fine with it. I can still see his features, like his face and hands so I'm happy with it. Also, the zoom function is pointless. The quality after you're zoomed in is very blurry making it a useless feature in my opinion.
Other than that, it's been a great overall monitor!

To be frank, I'd never heard of this brand before and while Levana products are sold online, I've not seen their products on store shelves at the big box stores. I came across the brand and this model after doing extensive research and finding that there were common complaints of reception issues, physical breakage and battery issues among all of the most readily available brands (Motorola, Samsun, Summer). I also discovered many references to Levana that we're quite positive and referenced them to be the best.
So far I love my Astra setup. The picture is great, controls are easy, the units mounted with little effort and I have great reception even with the camera on the second floor of my house. I would highly recommend this product.

The camera is great overall. The picture is clear. The motion sensor and warning feature is good. The movement can track when baby changes position.
The sound quality is not good enough. It can be improved to be more clear. Also should reduce the echo.

Easy to Use

I received this as a gift at my baby shower. It is very easy to set up and use; it took all of 5 minutes, if that. The monitor is very clear and easy to see our son when he is sleeping in his bassinet in our bedroom. All of the features and options are also very easy to use. It is very convenient to be able to adjust the camera from the monitor as well as talk to him through it when he begins to fuss to let him know one of us is on the way to check on him. The only downside is that the battery does not last very long. We usually have to charge it once a day, even when we completely turn it off throughout the day. Other than that, it has been wonderful, and we use it every night.

Just what I was looking for

This monitor has everything I was looking for. It's in the right price range-not the cheapest, not the most expensive. The screen size is large with a clear picture-automatically night vision if the room is dark, and color if there is light in the room. You can zoom in/out and pan the camera remotely. I have a one-story ranch style home, and can sit on my front porch without losing signal, although I lose signal in the backyard. The battery life is also great- I plug it in overnight to charge, and it keeps its charge all day (it's almost gone 2 days w/out charging, and still didn't die, though it was not in constant use). The only things I would change are 1) the icons on the screen (such as volume level) are difficult to see when camera is in night vision, and 2) the peep mode doesn't have the option to turn the screen off, yet leave the volume on. The peep mode is useful, but turns the screen and volume off until a loud-enough cry is registered and turns the screen back on. However, I don't consider these big enough reasons to even complain about. This monitor is all around a wonderful device! Very happy with it!

This monitor is great! I had a Motorola and it broke but this one has much better features. My favorite is the battery life. The color and sound are great as well. Would definitely recommend this product!
