Great Battery Life and PEEP mode

My wife and I bought this monitor for our second child. We have an old Levana model on our first child's room and are fans of the PEEP feature.
At first we decided to try a double camera set from Summer Baby that could show both rooms in one screen. Although that sounds interesting, you can only hear one room at a time and there was no auto on feature like the PEEP mode.
We are real fans of the fact that the Levana monitor screen AND sound can be off until a certain level of noise is reached, then it goes on for you to see what is going on. That helped us NOT go into baby's room all the time there was some noise. The monitor would go on and we would observe, and if everything was alright we could stay in bed!
The quality of the picture and the sound in this unit are good, and better then you really need. The battery life is amazing. It is great to be able to bring the parent unit downstairs with us and not have to worry about the battery being drained in an hour or two!
Unfortunately, it cannot have the PEEP mode on for both rooms at the same time, hence the need of two monitors. This is the only drawback. However, I was not able to find any monitor that does that.

Overall, would recommend this monitor strongly. If you would like to monitor two rooms and have the auto on feature in both at the same time you will need to monitors, not one with two cameras.

This is a good monitor. Easy to use, good night vision view. My only complaint is since the camera is on a roller, there are some areas of the crib that cannot be seen unless zoom is used.

This is a brand new monitor and we are pleased with the battery life of the monitor as well as many of the features. I would have preferred the camera to work on batteries as well as the outlet.

Great Monitor!

SO far I am very happy with this monitor. I am replacing a Motorola that was much more expensive and this one is even better. The picture quality is great, but the best feature is the long battery life. I've had a few other monitors and this one by far has the best battery life. I had a few questions about the features and used the Live Chat feature on the website. I chatted with Berenice twice and she was very nice and helpful. I'm very happy with this purchase.

We've used this Astra monitor for a month and I love it so far. It has an energy saving mode, it only kicks on when our daughter makes a noise. I love the night vision, it's very clear. I'm not all that pleased with the range, I think you'd have to get a pretty spendy monitor to get that kind of quality. I think the range is supposed to be 300 feet. Cut that by half with walls, vehicles and appliances. Even my body in the way made a difference at a certain distance. I wish it had a rubber case with it, it's slippery.

I love my camera! The only thing is the reception cuts off a few yards into my my backyard. I don't live in a big house. But otherwise it does the job and then some! Great product! Definitely will recommend!
