After A LOT of research on baby monitors, my husband and I finally decided on this one for our first child. We are loving everything about it- crystal clear picture, sound quality is great, no too weird or anything, the zoom and moving features all work perfectly. My husband had to build a little platform for the camera part to be able to see into the entire crib all of the way but that is just because we have it on a shelf. We are very happy with this monitor so far!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this camera two months ago and am loving it. I originally bought a camera from babiesrus that did not pan/tilt. And I hated that because my baby moves around her crib all night, so half the time I couldn't see her. This camera gives me peace of mind being able to follow her movements! I bought an open box camera, everything works great, GREAT picture, sensitive sound (which I prefer) however when the camera is on, it has a little humming noise until you turn the screen off. Other than that, 5 stars all the way! Great price and great product! :)

I bought this for my 5 month old because he kept turning on his stomach when he would take naps. This has helped ease my mind a lot. I love the functionality of it. Amazing investment.

I did a lot of research prior to purchasing a monitor for our 6-month old child. Based on reviews, I chose the Astra. This monitor is a great value.
Pros: Peep mode extends the battery life and lets you SLEEP when the baby does (screen shuts off and so does noise).
The night vision works well enough to let you see what you need to.
The PTZ feature lets you place the camera just about anywhere and still get a good view.
Reception is reliable once you test the "boundaries" around your home.
Cons: No belt clip! You can use the kickstand as a clip if you have tighter pants on.
Reception is great if there are no barriers between you and the camera. I get good reception out the front of my house and across the road, but not around the side of my house or the back. From what reviews I've read, this is pretty typical for all video monitors.

The "talk to baby" feature makes you sound like a monster - I just yell from the other room instead.

We got the Astra baby monitor for a gift at our baby shower and hooked it up 8 months later. It took a couple tries to get the camera and monitor paired but once it did it works perfectly. We can watch our baby from anywhere in the house now.
