I love this range

I am notorious in my family for hating to cook but since I purchases this I cook all the time. My husband (of 31 years) was NOT happy that I chose a higher priced model but now he's not complaining since I'm cooking more.

Great Stove/Oven!

Love the Slate color. It has a very large burner that puts out more btu's to boil water faster or for a larger pot. It also has the center burner which with the right pan is like having a griddle there as well. Love it!

Fooled by the GE brand name

Looks good and sturdy but it has disappointed me in many ways I am getting to doubt my earlier positive feelings about the GE Company and product. On the very first experience using the oven, while trying to clean the inside, a chunk of fiber on the inside of the door just separated as snow flakes. Using the range itself, despite its heavy metal grates, the dark surface was easily nicked, discolored by the pot gently rubbing against it. After just one month of very light use we now have a problem with the burners misfiring. The electric triggers (sparks) do not stop unless the setting is at most on the mid low. In a single sentence, this range looks impressive but after working with it a month, it is made with cheap material and badly put together.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
