Love my new Slate GE Range

Looks great in my newly remodeled kitchen. We purchased the matching microwave as well. Works perfectly and my husband, the cook, loves his new gas range -- the old one had inconsistent temps in the oven. The only thing we haven't figured out yet is what cleaner to use on the top surface; every one we've tried, including glass cleaner, still leaves wipe marks.

I bought this because I love the all over appearance and new features the different size burners are awesome the deeper top makes cooking faster. i just love the all over look.

Great looking gas stove

After researching many gas stoves I chose this GE appliance. One of the many reasons I did was that the knobs on the front had a more durable appearance compared to its less than stellar versions of its competitors. It’s something you would only notice after viewing many other brands and these knobs really stood out to me. They had a more solid look other than the plastic competitors. The other feature I like is the brushed finish, which resists prints, and other food marks. It is easy to clean externally, I have not cleaned the over yet, and looks nice when it is wiped down. The oven preheats in a jiffy and the top quick boil burner is a nice added feature. The grates are very sturdy and can be soaked in my large sink, rinsed and put back into place. I really love my new stove!

very pleased with GE JGB650SEF gas range

My wife just retired and I guess the buy out money was burning a hole in her wallet and she always wanted a stainless steel gas stove so we went shopping. The big box retailer had a large selection. she wanted the style with the cooking grates that went across the entire top. She avoided the ones that had the grates extending all the way to the very edge fearing the little grandkids could reach up and touch the heated grate. The GE grates locked into place better and were inside the stove tops edge about 1 1/2 inches. Also the drawer on the bottom had a very solid sound and feel, compared to all the other brands, when pulled in and out. At the time, we didn't know if this would make a big difference but we entertain the family at all the holidays and the oven was slightly smaller (5.0 cubic feet) and hoped the meat and baking dishes would all fit together. That was our only concern. Otherwise it has been a great stove!
