Just wanted an (in-between) basic stove without all the bells and whistle. This fit the bill. Bought this in black. The burner grates and controls are well made. Looks good in my eclectic kitchen. Like the varied burner BTU's. The simmer feature is nice. I have a couple issues with it though. Thought black would be easier to clean--not so, but at least it doesn't show the mess as much. Found vinegar works great for cleaning the grease and making it shine. Also, I would have thought the bigger BTU burner would be on the back for boiling water, etc.... Not so keen on having to boil water on the front burner. Not the safest of features, but it does heat up fast. Not much out there that is this simple and looks nice and is a good price. I haven't used the oven or broiler, yet. I am not a cooking guru, but perhaps I should have gone with the Premier or Summit. Worth taking a look at. Overall, though it is what it is and so far it fits my needs just fine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We love the looks of our new stove and found all the features we were looking for when replacing our old stove. The oven is larger than the old and that is a real plus since we do a lot of baking.

stove burners grates are to high have to keep flame up on high to cook seams to lose heat .the oven will not get up to temp at times 100 degrees off I have adjusted what needed to be still off at times.

Some problems with getting the broiler drawer gasket to stick. A little pin is supposed to hold it. But they sent a new one, no problem. I ended up gluing it. Otherwise, it works like a charm...I even cook better already!
