I have the Omega 350 I bought 8 months and am very happy with the results except with the exception it leave quite a bit of pulp in the finished product and requires staining(no big deal) I would like to see on the juice screen with stronger
locking feet or maybe 3 instead of 2, this is the reason I am writing this review as I need to order a new juice screen before the other foot breaks and I won't be able to use my juicer .I t would also be nice to be able to get parts in Canada .Thank you

First Time Juicer & Love My Omega VRT350!

For health reasons, I wanted to start juicing so I was looking for the following in a juicer: 1) make the juice quickly, 2) good quality juice, 3) easy/quick to clean and 4) great warranty. After watching "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead," I debated if I should get a centrifugal juicer (that's what most people recommend for first time juicers). After some extensive research (thank you John Kohler!), I went ahead and purchased the Omega VRT350. It's not as fast as I would like it, but the quality of the juice, the ease of cleaning and 10-year warranty superseded the speed of making the juice. I can also store the juice for the next day if I need to without losing the nutrients of the juice. In order to compensate for the slower speed, I either wake up earlier in the morning or make the juice the night before. It just takes a little planning.
I've only had my juicer a month, but I've been juicing one to three times daily (love my Ginger Shots!). I am noticing some of the parts staining from all of the carrot, apple, ginger juice I make, but you can soak the parts and they will look like new.
I have experienced a couple of problems (squeaking motor and sticking auger), but their customer service has been awesome! They are quick to take care of any issues with my juicer! I love the 10-year warranty (#4 on my list above)!

great warranty

I make juice a few times a week for the last 5 years with my VRT350HD. The unit died this week. I returned it to Omega for warranty repair. 3 days later i had a new unit at my door. Excellent customer service and way to stand behind your product.

Best Juicer Ever!

I love this juicer. For 10 years I had a loud spinning juicer that sent everything flying and was difficult to clean. The Omega 350VRT HD is so much easier to use and clean. Plus the juice is far better and lasts longer (we store our extra juice in a stainless steel bottle in the fridge for up to 2 days). The trick with this juicer (and others) is to clean it well after each use. I've had mine for 3 years and juice nearly every day. While there can be some build up of residue from the juiced items, I have found that soaking it in a light bleach solution will remove all the gunk and make everything crystal clear again. I only do that every 6 to 12 months though.

I LOVE This Juicer!

I have had the VRT 350 for 3 years now. I use it everyday and I prepare enough juice for 2 of us for breakfast and lunch which is 4 quarts. I hand clean all the parts after processing with just water and about every six months I will soak them in Oxiclean to help remove all of the oxidation and place in dishwasher after the soaking.
This machine by is far a better juicer than the high speed cintrifical jiuces. The quality of the juice isn't comparable.
I have had to get 2 of the strainers replaced during this time but it is covered under warranty and no hassle during communication with Omega.
Great product!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I expected better Omega

I had the juicer about 2 and a half years now and it works great I love it however every time i start to juice I hesitate and wonder if its safe because all the the amber parts have become horribly discolored, the black auger is loosing paint and the white basket holder has stained over time. I have always cleaned these parts by hand right after juicing with a mild detergent. With the cost to replace these parts I would be close to buying a whole new juicer. Tried to add photos kept getting errors
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Works flawlessy when kept clean properly

No issues besides slight hairline pressure cracks under the bowl where it hooks into the base, the silicone insert in the middle of the bowl just needs to be oiled with some vegetable oil, preventing the bowl base from over tightening during use/spinning.
Also both 1 star reviews could have easily prevented both issues from the breaking filter screen and the dirty parts. The white screen which broke was not the HD ultem plastic screen, so its only designed for soft fruit/veg. And the dirty parts and thanks to lazy cleaning. John Kohler explains both these issues in youtube videos are thanks to people not reading the manual and assuming because of the high price paid it will be indestructible or clean it self...

Talked to friends with high speed juicers and low speed juicers
Looked online and decided to go with the VRT 350
Very happy with results. I learned over time the best way to feed the veggies and fruits into the hopper so as to not jam the machine
Any machine will jam if you force feed it
I cut all items into small peices and drop in one at a time
Leafy items are followed by juicy items like cukes and tomatoes to keep the screen lubricated and the machine extracting the pulp
Carrots are an excellent item to put in to clean out the machine in between leafy items as well
Talked to friends with high speed juicers and low speed juicers
