Great juicer but something broke...

I credit this juicer with helping me lose significant weight in just a few months. I have had this machine since 2010 but just recently started getting serious with it. It came with two juicing screens, one fine mesh and the other medium. The latter has broken after only a week or two of use. It broke while masticating broccoli, which I cut up before feeding it in. What do I need to do to get a replacement for the juicing screen, medium mesh?

Great Juicer at a great price!

I have been juicing for years and have a few juicers. I have had a couple low end juicers that waste a lot of produce. I also have some high end centrifugal juicers that work well but still don't get the most out our fruits and veggies. While I still sometimes use one of my other juicers, the Vert 350hd takes care of about 90% of what I want to juice. We use it almost everyday. It's great at making almond milk and juicing wheat grass. Sometimes I notice that I get a little more pulp than other times. I found that to reduce the amount of pulp, simply pour the juice back through the machine. Another tip is to juice items that get "stringy" such as celery last. We had an issue with this unit when we first purchased it, and was amazed at how good the customer service was. I definitely recommend this product!

Workhorse

I'm going on my 2nd year with this juicer and it is a workhorse. It processes food quickly and efficiently. I use lots of carrots, cabbage, kale, beets, ginger, lemon, and lettuce. It takes no time at all to clean. The only two things I can say that may be worth thinking about when choosing models is when using leafy stuff like spinach and Kale, the fibrous strands sometimes stick in the exit chute. This can be resolved by cutting the greens cross wise to keep the strands from getting too long (alleviates problem). Also, the screen broke on me, but Omega sent me one in the mail. Customer service is great!

So-So

I was given this by my boss since they wanted a much more larger and expensive juicing system. It was great for a year or so and then I had to start replacing parts. I juice regularly and now I need to replace the auger, bowl and the 3 little plastic pieces on the base that hold the bowl on are breaking off. There doesn't seem to be a way to fix this.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

All out disappointment

I bought this juicer about two years ago and juice in phases. I'll do it 5 days a week for a few months and then not use it for the next 9...that type of thing. I would guess I've used it less than 100 times.
It's had problems since the beginning, making juice that is consistently full of sizable pulp that has to be choked down. It was like this till about two weeks ago when the machine stopped working properly...now, somehow, it makes better juice.
As far as cleaning, I agree with the people who say it continually becomes harder and harder and then impossible to keep it clean. The buildup is insane. I clean it meticulously right after use and it's still a problem.
The plastic parts are breaking, the basket metal is bending, the wipers outside the basket have stopped spinning, and now finally, the motor seems like it is days away from flat out stopping. Spending $400 on a juicer and getting 100 uses out of it makes no sense. At that price I might as well just go to a juice store every day, considering the grocery cost and the time involved.
There are problems with every juicer, so the little issues are to be expected, but thinking that I have to spend another $300-400 or more just to continue juicing is pretty awful.

Perfect Juicer for nutritious juice

This juicer is a one of a kind. I like the speed, I love the quality and quantity of the juice. The pulp is dry which makes me know this juice works as it should. If I didn't have this juicer I wouldnt know what I would do.

Best Juicer!!

I bought my Omega VRT350R about three years ago when my Jack La Lanne juicer broke down after a month. I have juiced almost every day since buying it. I am surprised at all the bad reviews and broken parts. I have never had a problem or had to replace any parts on my juicer. It works the same as it did the day I bought it. I would highly recommend this Juicer.

I get this VRT350 as a first juicer and it is just awesome! I have been able to juice everything I tried in, and each time I obtain a very good quality juice, tasty and with the good amount of pulp (more than a centrifugal and less than a blender). I love it! Even my hubby loves the juices... and the juicer itself!
It is not dishwasher safe but it is quite easy to clean if you don't wait after juicing.
Healthy and tasty purchase: try it! ;-)
