I am happy with my decision

I purchased this TV for general viewing in our family room. The screen can be viewed from acute angles and this was important for this room. I did not intend to use an add-on sound system. The internal speakers are adequate for this application.
I especially like the tuner. It will simultaneously tune ATSC and clear QAM without having to go into the menu and switch back and forth.
I also like the internet browser. It works as closely to a PC or laptop as I have seen in a smart TV. I have it connected with the Ethernet port. This makes a big difference in performance compared to the wireless function but the wireless function is not bad by any means.
I used the "expert" function to set my picture. This is a great feature. It allows the average user to set up a professional quality picture without having to use or purchase a separate calibration DVD.
I don't like the "Smart Remote". When I was using it at the store before I bought the set I was impressed with the remote I think because it was so different. But after using it for a while I find it somewhat 'clunky' to use. It is hard to aim the curser especially from across the room. I ended up just using my Directv remote programmed for LG and it works much better. I wish LG would put a QWERTY key pad on the remote like some of the other companies use on their remotes. It would make it much more user friendly.
I would recommend this TV for general viewing, internet browsing and app use.

Great TV - Trouble with Sound Bar

An Excellent TV for picture quality and smart features as well as an easy menu to navigate and use. Unfortunately, very unhappy with the sound bar accessory included in the sale package. Unable to get the sound bar functioning, returned to depot for repair, but on return still not working despite discussions with help center. The menu selections are all correct and the on screen icons show the sound bar working, but it isn't. Have given up on using the sound bar - if the TV wasn't such a great one I would be returning the whole package.
Pros: easy to use

Set-up was simple, took about 15 minutes from opening the box to watching T.V. The "Smart Remote" took a little bit of getting used to,but, it works as advertised and I can control my DVD player, my sound bar and my satellite box all from the one remote control.
Internet services are great, especially NetFlix. I would definitely recommend this product.

Love the clarity of the picture. Color and sharpness are unbeatable. Just the right size for the room I've placed it in. Checked out many manufacturers before purchasing this LG. So happy with my choice!

I've had my smart tv for 4 months now and I just love it. It was easy to set up, there are tons of features, apps - I look forward to more, hopefully network apps. The only thing more that I would wish for is updated Flash - some of the internet program I want to watch requires Flash and I get message: "not enough memory" for stream.
I have the magic remote, I highly recommend it - best accessory money spent!
