I love the upper fridge doors to get extra wide items in with no problem. The freezer is smaller than it looks. Only had it a few months and the ice maker is already having issues. Yes, I use the ice maker A LOT so to me this is important. The ice can get stuck coming out and before you realize it its a blockage and you have to put your hand up and free the ice... By now a lot of ice has backed up and it can be a mess. Also sometimes when it is on regular ice it still wants to crush it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the features and the double doors.

I had been wanting the double doors with ice maker on the bottom, we heard the freezer was not big, the ice maker was a pain to get to etc....when I saw this model with the ice maker on top and freezer at bottom with the room I needed, I wanted one. I have been very happy with it and would tell friends to purchase.

I bought this a couple of months ago. Overall this is a very nice unit. It has a lot of great features and looks great in the kitchen. Lots of space and easy to clean. I have read some other reviews and I agree that the ice maker could produce more ice but for me it works fine. Also the shelves inside are a bit on the thinner side. For me again they are fine but if you had alot of people using it it may be an issue. Hence 4 stars.

Ice build up in bottom after less than 3 years...

We purchased our refrigerator less than 3 years ago, and we are constantly having problem with ice building up in the bottom. The buildup keeps the freezer door from shutting and ice crystals are forming throughout. We do not recommend this product, and we see that many people are experiencing the same problem.

The ice maker is terrible.

The ice maker on this fridge is the worst I have ever used. We even had the service tech come out and he virtually replaced the whole guts. The ice maker gives both crushed and cubes regardless of the setting. It also has a habit of throwing more ice on the floor and around the glass than in it. We re-did our kitchen with all Whirlpool appliances. Purchasing this refrigerator was a mistake. Would not recommend this product to anyone.
