Not What I was Expecting...

This is my first Whirlpool refrigerator; however, I previously owned a sister brand. My previous side-by-side unit "died" last week and we needed a new one pretty quick. My husband shopped around locally and found this unit. The only one that they had was a floor model, therefore, they had to order us one and it was delivered yesterday.My first impressions before I opened it were, "WOW, it looks great for the price and much improved over my deceased unit!" Now after starting it up and using it last night, "Not what I expected for the money I paid!"Firstly, it is soooo much noisier than my previous unit. It has a continuous humming noise that I can even hear from my family area in the next room while watching TV. If I had known this, I would NOT have purchased it (especially for the price!). We paid about half as much for my previous unit and it was extremely quite expect when making ice. Secondly, the middle shelf with the drawers is poorly designed! There is an uneven gap between the middle drawers that is extremely visibly and they do not pull out easy. Obviously, we made the wrong decision and unfortunately it is too late! Please be warned!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice Refrigerator

Our new refrigerator arrived about a month ago. Everything has been great with the unit. The only "small" things I can say is: 1. The ice-maker is loud, and awkward if needing to access the ice bucket from inside. I wish there were better placement of lights inside.

ice maker is really noisy when filling the trays and when dumping the ice into the bin. The worm screw is unpredictable when pushing cubes out. Other than that no complaints

We just bought our french door whirlpool gold 6 months ago and are really liking it! It looks great is pretty easy to maintain and has any features we could want!
