Love this fridge!

We've had this fridge for about 3 months now. I love how wide it is and I have a lot of room to put all my fruits and veggies. Also, having the water and ice dispenser has been easy because I've had ones in the past that was difficult to switch from ice to water.

Good Features but...

We like our new refrigerator but there are a couple of features that could use improving. One feature that was a must when we started looking for a new French door refrigerator was that it had to have an ice maker in the upper door. This one was exactly what we wanted. However, the ice capacity is really small. If you are planning a party with several people you might want to store up some extra ice.The other item that is a constant issue is the bottom door handle. It is designed to be removed in order to get the frig through a standard door. However, it will not stay on the door. Every few days we have to slide it back on because if you do not pull straight out on the handle it will come off in your hand when you try to open the door. Overall we are pleased with our new refrigerator and would recommend it.

I recently had to trade in my fridgidaire refrigerator because its ice machine broke 6 times. I even got the first fridge replaced. The second fridge did the same thing. It also never seemed to keep things cool. The whirlpool so far has not had any ice machine issues and food is kept extremely cold since i have it set to 35. So far so good. I am very pleased with it as of now.

Easy access to huge refrigerator compartment

This unit replaced an old side by side unit and the difference in refrigerator space is amazing. The total square footage is about the same as the old one, but the french doors make it much more accessible and convenient. Granted the freezer space is less, we have a separate freezer so it is not really an issue at all. It is a great looking unit and so far performs as it should.

Ice maker very noisy

We really enjoy our new refrigerator, well designed andworks well. The only complaint we have is the noise fromthe ice maker. It is very loud after dispensing the ice, I believe ithas to do with the distribution of the ice in the tray when its refilling.A lot louder than other refrigerators. I think its a design flaw thatcould be eliminated.

I previously owned a side-by-side for many years - and spent time considering what I didn't like about it. When shopping for a new refrigerator, I found that the french door, bottom freezer fulfilled all the things I wished I had! No more deep, small shelves where everything is inaccessible. Now I can see everything at eye level...and find that the compartments in the freezer section are just perfect for seeing what I have in there! We got the water/ice in the door feature, which I also love. Great appliance!
