Love this 'fridge!!

I purchased my Whirlpool Gold 26 cu ft refridgerator almost a year ago. This by far the most advanced refrigerator I have ever experianced. Plenty of interior room and holds a temperature well, even if the doors remain open for a short time. I would it recommend to anyone!!

Love my new applicance

Looks really nice in my daughter's new kitchen. The stainless steel applicances have a clean fresh look. Water and ice in door is convient and water is always nice and cold. Fridg has lots of room in both freezer and fridg.

This new refrigerator was the perfect choice for us. I especially like the energy saving feature which gives me the option of being able to open one compartment rather than both unless needed. Also, the display screen on the outside dispenser control panel goes into a sleep mode after two minutes when not being used. The freezer drawer slides out easily and has a separate basket which allows me to separate meats, breads, etc. I can see at a glance everything that I have placed inside. It operates quietly and efficiently.

Broke Down right after Warranty expired

Ice Maker capacity is very small. The Ice Maker takes up a lot of room in the refrigerator. To top things off, the Ice Maker died right after the warranty expired.The Freezer section does not fit a lot of items - the layout is bad.Keep away from this fridge.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I really like this refrigerators style ; the one thing negative is the ice maker. Ice maker jams; and we feel it does not hold enough ice or make it quick enough.

With the exception of an ice maker issue that was resolved within warranty timeframe we have really enjoyed this fridge. Does what a fridge n freezer is suppose to do!

Good French Door refrigerator but the ice dispenser design c

We purchased the French Door Whirlpool Gold refrigerator as an upgrade when we selected applicances for our new home in 2011. The French Door refrigerator is great looking and at 26 cu. ft. holds all of the basic staples we use on a daily basis. The bottom freezer has two trays which is helpful to sort your frozen food into areas for easy retrieval. When the freezer is full the freezer doors can be easily pulled out, no straining on my part. Some suggested design changes include making a larger ice container and making it easier to pull it out of the refrigerator when you want to dump all of the ice in the ice box. Right now it is very difficult to remove the ice container from the refrigerator. Also the ouside ice dispenser splatters chunks of ice on the floor if you don't hold the glass right up to the top of the ice despenser.
