Nice fridge!

We bought this refrigerator less than a year ago and we really like it. The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is that there is a small drip coming from the bottom, which just started. We have tile floors, so it's not an issue, but if we had hard wood it would be. We need someone to come check it out. Otherwise, love the design and it looks nice in our kitchen.

Problems

We purchased Whirlpool products because of Consumer Reports research & falling in love with this refrigerator. We have been disappointed that we've had a repairman out here twice to work on it, and, are waiting for a 3rd visit; been waiting a month for a part. Wine spilled in the refrigerator, and the Ice Maker/Water Dispenser haven't worked since. Also, the Meat/Soda Cold drawer temperature control went out at the same time. Everything is cold, but no temperature is displayed. Also, this unit is load at times.

Good product

This is a great product but it does have its flaws I think. The refrigeration portion of this product is excellent, no complaints. I have never had fruits and vegetables last so long. The ice maker clogs up when trying to get cubes, so we have to use crushed ice to work around this. We can't get it level on our tile floor.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I love my new refrigerator. I wasn't nervous about the bottom drawer freezer, but I love it!!! Oh also love the alarm featuring letting you know the door has been left open, awesome!!!

Good fridge, some inconveniences

Overall I like the fridge, the ice compartment is about half the size of our old one and it seem to make ice all the time, including all night and you can hear it. Water dispenses water at a slow stream and we even had it serviced, was told "that's the way it is". Had to get used to the limited storage in the doors, only place for 1 milk and 1 orange juice, anything else has to go on main shelves and can't see behind it. Shelves on left side are mostly useless, extremely shallow and I have no clue what the little round holder is for, won't even hold a bottle of water due tto the height. Freezer part is awesome, although we kept forgetting the basket because it doesn't come out when you first open the drawer, you have to pull it out. Shelves on right are stationary and need to be lower, most items: ketchup, mustard, dressing are too tall to put there, if you put dressing on left door side it has to be flat not sideways, so it holds only 4 bottles.

The new Whirlpool Gold refrigerator we recently purchased is amazing in so many levels. The most loved feature through out our family is the spacious French Door Design of the Refrigerator and the very large capacity of the Freezer area. The LED lighting system when u open the door as it goes from dim to bright is very nice and also having the alarm is such a wonderful touch on it seeing is how my girls love to leave the doors open. The touch panel on the door for controlling the unit is by far my favorite. To be able to adjust your temp. settings or go as far as shut the unit down is so nice to have without having to unplug. This product is must have in every home. If you don't have one then I suggest get one. You will not be disappointed!!
