The washer is running great after 6 months. Love all the features. One wish is that they could have made the door interchangeable!

Doesn't Live Up to the Hype I've Seen

Purchased specifically for energy efficiency and, thus, reduced utility bills. So far, utility bills actually seem Higher :(.
Cleans clothes adequately but not really better than my previous washer (a top loader). Haven't reached mud/ *real* dirt season yet, and am skeptical that the machine will shine then to really win me over.
Seems harder on fabrics than previous machine, in all cycles. Perhaps this is due to the higher spin speeds??
Requires extra rinse(s) to produce satisfactory results. Seems this might negate any 'cost savings' which could purportedly be gained by using a front loader.
Capacity smaller than previous top loader, requiring more loads to do the same job. This also seems to negate any potential cost savings from using a front loader.
Requires HUGE amounts of upkeep (all per owner's manual and other materials received with machine):
wipe door and seal dry after each use
clean detergent and other dispensers weekly
clean pump filter twice a month
run tub clean cycle once a month (or three weeks in a row if odor has developed)
clean inlet water filters as needed
clean exterior of machine as needed

Tub clean cycle requires use of liquid bleach - yuk!!
End of cycle signal too soft, even on highest volume setting - cannot hear it unless immediately adjacent to washer.
Owner's manual not at all clear about actual functions within cycles. This makes it more difficult to choose or modify a cycle to really satisfy one's own preferences.
The lack of a warm rinse option in the regular cycle is a significant detriment IMHO.
I want to love this machine, but don't, at least not yet. Sigh!

I am kinda surprised by all the reviews I have read here. After following all the instructions, my clothes are dingy. I really see it in my whites, as they are now grey. I follow every instruction exactly and I have never had this problem until I got this machine. Even my husband noticed. It seems there is not enough water to rinse the clothes properly. I add an extra rinse to each load and still they are not clean. I am very unhappy with your product

LG Steam Washer Performs!

I absolutely love my LG steam washer! Not only is it beautiful aesthetically, but it is impressive because it performs! On my first wash I could not help but stare at the machine while it adjusted its weight load and using very little water. But my clothes came out clean! There are various settings to choose from - you can go for the speed wash cycle or a longer wash cycle. I especially love the allergiene setting, a boost of steam that addresses allergens and gets my whites, sheets, comforters and towels extra clean and sanitized. I even washed my bed pillows and they came out like new again! Oh, and I can't fail to mention the cute song it plays when the wash is complete. There is so much about this machine that I love, I can't possibly tell it all. LG thank you. You produced an outstanding high-quality product that I truly enjoy.

A Very Good Washer

After 2-3 months I really like this washer -- let's see what we are saying after 4-10 years. It does a great job of cleaning. Is very quiet - in fact it is too quiet and when the wash is done it is very hard to hear the sound to say it is done -- but if you don't get the clothes out right away they really wrinkle a lot - as someone said earlier they do put wrinkles in the clothes but you can set the washer for how much spinning you want -- in every case the spinning is very effective and clothes dry very fast.
Sometimes small items like a childs sox or a handkerchief will catch in the front - right next to the door and it will not get washed - but not too ofter.
My biggest complaint is the door seems rather flimsey - hard to believe it will hold up for many years of use -- overall a good machine that does a very good job.
I do not drain the filter and mess with that every couple of weeks as recommended -- that is a bit of a pain -- we'll see if it causes any problems.

Superior performance

It's hard to complain about the small things when the washer cleans our clothing so well. This washer clearly differentiates itself. Since using this machine, we rarely use stain removers. My two teenage boys are surprised by the results. I have two small complaints. The features/settings were a little intimidating at first. However, you can't go wrong. And, it becomes intuitive after a couple of loads. My last complaint is about the door. I wish this could be purchased to open from either side of the washer. We had to reconfigure the plumbing in our utility room to hook it up. If I had one small wish for LG, it would be to include a bowl for emptying the water each month. Overall, we love our new washer!

This washer is the best thing to ever happen to my family. Everything is sparkling clean and completely clean. It gets every stain out. I was a little worried because of the price. Its totally worth it. WOW. Everything maintains its color and size. Laundry is no longer a chore. If LG can get the dryer to fold and hang my clothes up, I would be complete.
