Excellent flip phone!

Traded in a Droid Razr for The Convoy after doing a considerable amount of research. I wanted to get unhooked from the smart phone. It has been liberating! Back to texting the old fashioned way, and scrolling through menus, no email or web access. But, very happy with the Convoy's features. Very good sound quality on calls. Voice recognition and bluetooth both work reasonably well. Camera is just OK at best. Sound quality from the speakers is surprisingly good. The phone has an actual built-in flashlight that is bright! Beats a flashlight app. No problems at all with the phone after almost a year and a half.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Durable, good sound quality
I would recommend this to a friend!

I would like it better if the alarm actually worked correctly. The phone doesn't wake up for the alarm to go off and I have already replaced it once. When I flip it open it takes at least 3 seconds for the screen to light up so besides those small issues great phone.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight

Faulty and Unreliable

This phone is completely faulty and unreliable. The alarm clock doesn't work and the phone constantly lags. Whenever I answer the phone, it takes a few seconds to register and pick up my voice.

This phone is JUNK

It shuts off whenever it wants to. I have had text messages sent to random people on my contact list instead of the intended individual. I backed up my contacts and they were totally screwed up. Names appeared twice, some last names were doubled as in John Smith Smith. It's continually showing 'leaving service area' or 'entering service area'. I've had it for two weeks. Oh Boy! Won't the next two years be fun!? sarcasm intended.
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, very unreliable

No User's Manual

Only user's manual available is online and it's formatted on 176 pages. They need to supply a manual with the phone. Poor customer service

Third Convoy

This is my third Convoy phone. I had a Convoy and a Convoy 2 and was very pleased overall with both of them. I purchased my Convoy 3 with the same expectation of quality and performance.
My first disappointment was when I found my 2.5mm headset would not work as it had in both previous models. I found that it has a very slow processor and generally of poor quality. Certainly not what I would have expected from Samsung, especially after their two previously successes in this line

I bought this phone two years ago and it has been working fine, I dropped it and now all the buttons don't work. So much for it being army tough . Now I have to buy another phone.
