Just amaizing

When we did complete kitchen renovation last summer, we bought new gas stove since we have central gas in the house. It is OK having gas stove, unless you want to take your life to the next level and switch to induction. What a thrill! This Electrolux is out of space. Induction is the most effective form of cooking. Plus the ceramic top does not get hot and therefore, no messy burnt surface and crazy cleaning. Just wipe out with damp cloth. Plus the cooking is several times faster than gas and all other conventional surfaces. Also, there is no radiant heat when using induction. The only heated part is the pot. As a reminder, only cookware that is magnetic on the bottom works on induction but almost all new cookware now is suitable for it.. To be sure when I bought my cookware I brought with me a small magnet (everyone has one on the fridge) and tested the bottom on each pan. If sticks, it means OK for induction. Bottom line this stove is perfect, plus the warranty is extremely good. Highly recommended.

I purchased this about 4 months ago. Since then I have realized that there are so many more possibilities to cooking since I got this range. I can do chocolate fondues not without a double boiler pot. The induction technology is that responsive. I don't scorch anything! You can go from a pot of room temperature soup to a full boil in like less than 3 minutes and then be down to a low simmer literally in the time it takes for your hand to depress from the touchscreen display. Baking in this oven has brought my homemade pizzas doughs and pastries to the next level. It gets thinks so evenly golden brown with its convection fan. Most recipes do not call for convection and using convection without recalculating your temperature can result in burned food. Electrolux makes it super easy with a convection convert button. I call it the easy button. It instantly converts for whatever temperature is appropriate when using the convection feature on a conventional recipe.
From an aesthetic perspective, the unit is beautiful in the kitchen and many of my houseguests have remarked at what a sharp range this is. The glossy backsplash control panel is seamless and streamlined with a very modern feel. Easy to clean with no nooks or crannies. The stainless steel on this range is especially luminous more so than most other stainless steel appliances I have owned whether this is a result of higher quality stainless steel or an Electrolux design secret I do no know. All I know is this unit is worth every penny. It performs like a gas range and looks every inch the upscale cooking appliance of the future that it is. I hope this helps you all make a decision!

Best Purchase Ever!

I looked at several models, originally considering just buying another smooth top electric range. I chose this over other ranges I had considered for the following reasons: The induction feature itself-much more energy efficient because no heat is generated without having a compatible cookware piece making contact with the burner. Once there is no longer any contact, there is no energy being used.
The response time for temperature change is as instantaneous as a gas range. No extra hot elements to burn food on the stovetop. Easy to wipe clean.
The front right is the most powerful large burner of all brands I had considered. These induction burners really do heat up much faster than standard coil or regular smooth top electric ranges. Love getting in & out of the kitchen much faster!
The bridge feature allowing the use of an extra large item such as a roaster or a griddle because there are two equally matched in both size and wattage burners plus a bridge to connect the two on the left side.
There is one non-induction burner which is the center-back warming burning.
The touch controls give an overall smooth, sleek appearance to the appliance and make the panel easier to clean than knobs. Only a slight learning curve needed. Precise individual settings means no guessing and no temperature variance.
Nice size oven with more rack options than I knew existed. I especially love the Luxury-Glide Rack which will make those heavier items like the holiday turkey easy to access for basting & temperature checking. I also love the concealed lower element. I have not had the need to do an oven cleaning, but am excited about the concept this one uses.
The oven has a feature that automatically converts your standard oven temperature to the correct temperature when using the convection feature.
The features I feel so-so about (at least for now) would be the warming drawer since I've never had a range that had one-I'm accustomed to a large drawer to store extra cookware which this doesn't have. Once I start using it, I may feel differently.
I would have preferred a second oven light just in case one burns out there would be a spare. I get a kick out of showing off its safety feature by placing a paper towel between the burner and cookware and having guests amazed that the towel won't burn while the food is cooking.

Simply the best kitchen decision we ever made

My wife and I spent the better part of a year reviewing conventional cooktop (old fashion coils) smooth glass top with heater elements under glass and induction. Induction was more expensive but we thought because it was morer efficient we could cut the difference in initial costs back with energy savings over time. When I was a young boy we had an Electrolux cannister vacuum cleaner but I or we have not owned one since. (I'm60) We bought this in the hopes that it would be a good product but it turned out to be a really great product. We couldn't be happier. We have cooked the daily meals, Thanksgiving, Christmas and a few dinner get-togethers for 16 or more people and the range has been flawless. Because induction doesn't superheat the glass surface no food gets baked onto the surface which means after 5 months of heavy use, the stove still looks brand new and it cleans up with a wet dish rag (cooled surface) and a clean dish cloth. Still looks brand new. We are thrilled with this.

Electrolux Induction-Convection Oven

I bought my new Induction/Convection oven in May 2015. I had a 30 year old conventional oven that was still working, but I decided I wanted to upgrade and try out the induction technology. That meant I had to buy a new set of pans that had magnetic conduction properties. A win win all around, as I love the induction stove top and love my first new set of pots and pans (my old pans were 30 year old hand me downs). The induction surface is so easy to keep clean, as things don't burn on the surface, as the surface only gets warm to the touch, while the magic happens in the pan. The Pb (power boost) setting is awesome as I can boil water in only a couple minutes. Also, if you turn on the wrong burner, as I have done many times with my old stove, it wouldn't get hot or do anything until you put the pan on the cook zone. It senses when the pan is on the cook zone, thus no wasted energy. Also no element to heat up the kitchen on hot summer days. Only the pan and contents get hot, so when you turn off the cook zone or take the pan off, you don't have to wait for a long time for the cook surface and surrounding area to cool down, as the surface is just warm to the touch. No more finger burns from touching a hot element or surface. Plus, I can't believe that I can even put paper under the pan to keep the surface totally free of fat spatter when frying something. Even if I don't use paper it is so easy to clean up, as I can wipe around the cook zone while I am cooking as it is not burning hot like a conventional stove top. I also like the glide rack in the oven, as it pulls out so easily. I am still learning and experimenting with the Convection cooking. It saves time and temperature, but the next time I make a batch of cookies I am looking forward to loading all the shelves with cookie sheets and cooking at the same time without burning anything. An excellent investment - great technology!

Not our first choice, but turned out very well.

This model / brand was not our first choice as we wanted induction cooktop, true convection oven and 2nd small oven on TOP. Even baking was high priority and this model had lost points for unevenness on regular bake. It turned out much better than we thought with less quirks with the cooktop than reviews for other brands report. We have not run into any issues so far, although we have not used the oven much since it is hot weather.
