I am very glad I purchased this stove with the coil burners. I heard some not so great reviews of the smooth cook top. My only complaint is that the timer should ring a little louder.

my kids bought this stove for us. we do a lot of home canning and this stove seems sturdy enough to hold up to the high heats required. We'll find out this summer.
