Great oven!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using a smooth top of a different brand for the past six months, I was so happy to have my coil top stove back! I love the way it looks. I thought that I would be disappointed after having a nice looking smooth top, but with the black top and the black coils, it all blends in nicely. The oven is great. I love the way it bakes. My cookies turned out flawless!! The only things I can think to say negatively about it is that the black does show dirt and water marks easily. Also, I wish the controls for the timer/oven, etc. had a better feel. They feel a bit fragile. Overall, I love this stove and would highly recommend it.

The quality of this range is outstanding. The range top elements and oven heat quickly. An added feature is the heavy duty roller rack. A pleasing appearance. Glad to have the coil elements back and don't need to worry about nicks, scratches and the use of special pans that are a problem with ceramic cook tops. I would purchase this range again if needed in the future.

I got this a few weeks ago. The power boil options on the big burners are great. I love the self cleaning racks that I am going to be able to leave in the oven during clean the clean cycle. I have ordered an additional oven rack. My previous oven was also large capacity and I would not be without it. The drip pans seem to have a special finish as the spills are just wiping up. I do a bunch of canning, so I wanted to stick to the coils. I also like the lift top so I can get to the crumbs that drop between the range and the countertop. The timer is nice in that it advances by every ten minutes if you press hard on it, good for the hour+ baking. It counts down by seconds when under a minute. It could be louder. Hard to hear when I am not on the same floor. It also looks nice, clean lines.

Wow! Just having a new range is so much the better. The controls are firm and positive and the elements heat up practically as fast as a gas range. The black cook top surface tended to dark the kitchen a little, but I like it because I shows less spillage that may become cooked on before cleaning. Plus, the contrast between the color BLACK and that which is cooking in the pot is much more easily seen as you tend to focus on it better.

I used to have a flat top and could not stand it. I love everything about this new GE Range. It cooks so even and on time. Wish I would have gotten it sooner.
