Great value for the money

We bought this stove last weekend, had it delivered Wednesday. Really a huge improvement over our other electric stove. Heats up rapidly, have to learn how to cook again. Great value for the money.

Black Stove coil top

So far I love my stove, it was easy to install, and works great! I hate glass top and only have electric to my home so I didn't have much choice but when the salesman showed me the inside racks that are coated for easy clean up and the one slides out I was sold! Also I love how they set up the knobs two on left two on the right! Makes it easy to figure out which knob for which burner!! Very happy with my stove

not suitable for canning-surface gets too hot!

Overall, a nice product. However, based on 50 years of using electric stoves, top surface may be considered hotter than norm, more so when canning.
Canning was the primary purpose for selection of a "coil" type stove as "glass" top types may be considered too fragile for large, heavy canners.
[Advised by GE their "Canning Element" #WB30K5019 not recommended for this electric coil burner stove from 2013.]
A GE service rep did visit shortly after purchase and found the top surface temperature to be acceptable under their standards.
P.S. GE does have outstanding Customer Service!

Some things I would change

I like the multiple levels in the oven. However, the burners seem to run a little hot. Food tends to boil, even at their lowest settings. The area in the back that holds the controls has a lip where spattered food can hide. It's hard to see up under to clean it. But the price was better than most for the same type of appliance, so for the money it is good.
