Amazingly efficient and spacious dryer

I purchased this dryer to replace one from another manufacturer that "died" within weeks of the warranty expiration. I am very impressed with the efficiency and huge capacity of this dryer. It perfectly dries a large load of laundry in much less time than the old machine. I appreciate the longer warranty and clearly better construction of the Whirlpool dryer as well. I plan to buy the matching washer soon.

The best purchase ever!

My dryer purchase turned out to be a happy accident. Let me go back a bit, My first washer dryer purchase were Whirlpool brand. They lasted me 18 years and had been well used. I replaced them with another brand and after only 7 years, I found myself in need of a new gas dryer immediately. When I went to look for one, I knew that I would have to take whatever was in the store because I needed one now and a gas dryer had to be ordered and would take up to 3 weeks to have one delivered. I was impressed by the look and overwhelmed by the features but I took a leap of faith because it was a Whirlpool. The first time I used it I was very impressed. The control panel was easy to navigate. The size is large enough to accommodate a king size comforter with room to spare. The dry sense feature keeps you from over drying anything. I haven't used the steam or sanitize features yet but my husband says they are wonderful. I will be purchasing the washer very soon!

Huge capacity great features!

I bought this three months ago and I still can't believe the number of towels it will wash in one load! I especially love the deep water soak feature.

Poor performance

Have had nothing but problems with this dryer. Just over a year old and does not work well at all. Vent light comes on all the time. I take apart everything and there is no blockage, have air flow and good combustion in gas chamber. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Have the washer too, and same thing. GARBAGE! I am a licensed plumber and cannot believe I bought such a poor product. I will never buy another whirlpool product again. Throwing these hunks of junk to the scrapyard. I think that it is with sensors and cheap parts by manufacturer and don’t have time and not spending money to repair with BOTH being pretty new. It’s obviously junk, look online and you will see same issue from thousands others. Ya lost my business Whirlpool!
