Lots of room.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice appearance, lots of storage space, quiet. I have had very good luck with GE Profile appliances. Just wish the stainless finish was easier to keep clean.

Poor ice maker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Auger in ice maker is plastic. We are on our second tray with auger in 12 months. Plastic auger starts breaking when you dispense ice and you end up with plastic in your ice dispensed, very dangerous if you don't see the plastic chips in your ice dispensed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So far so good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love the fridge so far. The lighting is very bright which makes it easier to find items. It makes ice quickly and can stores lots of ice. We've had plenty of ice to fill a small cooler. So far so good.

Runs well, but the freezer shelves...

Runs very well, but the freezer shelves are too narrow. GE's only fix was to send little plastic clips for the edges of the shelves, but these only make the shelf about 1/8 inch wider at two points on each side, and they don't work effectively long-term..We have an all-GE kitchen, mostly Monogram, but seven years of this problem is enough to drive us to competitors' products.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Brand new - lots of issues

Ordered this side-by-side because kitchen can't accommodate bottom freezer due to kitchen island. Unit is great inside ... lots of room for same basic external footprint. Love the LED lighting. Love the depth of shelves. Love the look.
Issues: Can't remove the shelves with the door completely open (and no, the door is not obstructed by anything ... it just doesn't swing back far enough). Shelves hit the rubber gasket/trim of the refrigerator door. Not good. I can finagle them out but risk tearing the rubber gasket or dropping the shelves and breaking them.
Icemaker doesn't seem to be working properly. Been more than 24 hrs since freezer hit 0 degrees temp and I still don't have even 1/2 bin of ice.
Worst complaint .. the energy efficient compressor makes a very annoying high hum. Driving me crazy. I have GE Repair service coming next week to check out all of the problems. My biggest fear is the compressor noise is "normal." It will have to go back if that is normal because it's completely unacceptable.
I'll report back once GE Service has looked at the unit.

I love this refrigerator

Had this refrigerator for a week now, I love it. I did a lot of research before buying it and am very pleased with the outcome.
It looks beautiful inside and out. I love the lights on the inside. The shelves are adjustable, the compartments on the door are huge ( holds everything).

Saves on electric and Food

When we bought the side-side refrigerator/freezer we realy needed it, It was easy to hookup and get to work. The only problem was there wasn't information on how to set the temps on the refrigerator and freezer, but they were set on defaults. I do not have any problems or complaints with it because it has saved on my food bill and electric bill. This is the first appliance that has acculy done what it said it was made to do. We haven't hooked the ice-maker up yet due to the remodling but that will be done soon and I will let ya know if there are problems with it but don't foresee any.
I would recommend this to a friend!
