This Fridge Sucks!!!!!

This is the worst fridge I have ever owned!! We consistently have plastic pieces coming out when ice is dispensedz. The worst part...every time the doors are shut the shelves in the freezer collapse and then we are left with an avalanche of food.

Extremely disappointing from GE

Extremely disappointing from GE. This product came with our new home, and seem nice at first. However the shelves in the freezer never stayed put, fell out constantly, and caused severe headaches for many years. After less than three years this product has stopped dispensing water, and if you press on the button a pool of water shows up underneath the fridge two minutes later. Very disappointed in this, and need to buy a new fridge because we can no longer fight with the shelving situation in the freezer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poorly built, poorly designed

I purchased the fridge/freezer 6 years ago. The freezer shelves never fit. The waterline has broke twice. Today is the second time in a year the freezer has stopped working, and we've lost all of our food again. I expected this unit to last longer, but it doesn't seem to be worth repairing... yet again.

Freezer racks are too small, they fall down

Freezer racks constantly fall down on the 3 straight wire shelves. We can occasionally with very light weight items balance them just so to stay up for a day (only top shelf currently) they were manufactured about 1/6-1/4 inch too short width wise :(

Nice interior, High Pitched Chirpy Noises

Purchased this as a Christmas present. Had it installed 2 weeks ago. The interior is very nice, as well as the lighting. The sleek appearance is also a plus.
Unfortunately, the motor makes a high pitched chirpy noise and unless this can be resolved, we won't own it very long. The chirping is annoying with an open floor plan....to the point you have to turn up a movie/music to drown out the chirp noise. If you are sensitive to high pitched noise, don't buy this one. :-(

icemaker continues to fail in first months

The moaning and creaking noises are very disturbing, especially at night. Sounds like a dying elk or cow off in the distance. The ice maker makes little ice and has had to be replaced twice in first 4 months

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought another GE Profile Refrigerator because we have a 20+ year old one still working in the garage. It works better than the new one. The new one freezes things on 2 of the shelves. The new one is not a large on the refrigerator side as the old on. Quality is much cheaper made than the old one. The icemaker didn't work at all when it was installed. already had to have a new icemaker installed. Have still not gotten the bypass for the water filter that has been requested from the seller numerous times. I would not buy another GE Profile anything... So disappointed. 3 service calls in 2 months..

I hate hate hate this fridge. The shelves for the freezer are designed to rest on a tiny ledge, but the area it has to rest on the shelve is so tiny that the shelves are constantly falling down
