I've been using this dishwasher since May. It is quiet and cleans the dishes without pre-rinsing. There are two things that make its design inconvenient. The flatware section has removable knife holders that fall down into the basket, or pull out with the knives. They won't stay where they are placed. The control lock must be used after doing dishes because leaning against the door while standing in front of the dishwasher, activates the controls. Other than these two things, I am very pleased with my new dishwasher.
Pros: easy to use, Performance, Convenient Features
Cons: touch controls on door too easy to activate, knife holders

I just purchased this dishwasther. My first test of how it cleans was to look at a wine glass. It was crystal clear and clean, no water spots, no residue. The machine is quiet, efficient, and is attractive to look at.

After reading many reviews of dishwashers and looking in many stores, we had given up replacing our aging Maytag and were trying to keep it running. It seemed that nobody was satisfied with their new dishwasher, and the ones we looked at had less space and less versatility for loading than the Maytag. We saw this KitchenAid at a friend's house and found that she liked it. It has more space than our old one, is much more roomy and versatile for loading than any we looked at, has a stainless steel interior rather than plastic, is quiet, and washes well. It does not seem to dry as thoroughly as we would like, but we are otherwise happy with it. Of course, it has only been in operation for three months, but so far, so good.

Cons: could be better at drying, height made tight fit under counter

Hardly know its on. Tons of storage and seems to clean very well. Really enjoy the drying feature.
Only issue is the rack system takes a little getting used to. Bowls only really stack one way and work best front to back on top rack, not the other way.
Other than that, this is a very beautiful appliance.

This dishwasher is very attractive in my newly remodeled kitchen. Easy to use, and very quiet. The only thing I would change about it is the size and location of the buttons. They are a little hard to read, and I wish I would have chosen the model that had them placed on top (inside) of the door. I have had many guests, and myself included, lean against the dishwasher and inadvertently push a button and start it going.
Pros: Innovative, Stylish, Performance, easy to use

Controls on the front have some design problems

Overall this dishwasher cleans the dishes well, but having the contols on the front has some problems. If you do not lock the controls after washing the dishes, every time you lean against the front the front of the dishwasher to work at the counter, the dishwasher starts up. Turning on the control lock keeps this from happening, but the control light goes out after a short time and then you don't know if the controls are lock or not without trying them.
Also the door is very stiff to open and close.

This is very different from our 27 year old Kitchenaid that finally died. It's much quieter. Takes hours longer to run a cycle. It does a f ine job.
My one problem is that it installs right out to the very edge of the counter overhang. That means that when I lean into the counter to do anything at all in that space I turn on the machine. Not earth shattering, just annoying.
