I did the usual shopping and was worried that I was relying on KitchenAid too much just because my last dishwasher was one. That one worked great for 15 years and I hung on to it because I dreaded the shopping for a new one. I checked out many different brands, read a lot of reviews, and I kept coming back to the brand I knew best. My local appliance store recommended KitchenAid over the other brands since I did not want a lot of bells and whistles. The only problem I had was the salesman told me it would take 2-3 weeks to get it in. I told him I could go on line and get it quicker but that I wanted to do business locally so I would wait for it. It came in in 3 days! Glad I decided to wait and give the local guy the business. I was concerned when I opened the box that there was water in the machine and moisture in the cabinet. I ran the machine without anything in it and it worked fine. It is a lot quieter then I expected, which is nice for everyone in the house. After the complete cycle is finished, I notice the dishes get dry but the cabinet stays wet so I open the door when it is finished and let the air dry it out. I don't know yet if this is typical or if there is something wrong with the dry cycle. The dishes come out spotless and that is what is important to me. I am very happy with the dishwasher and would recommend this model to everyone.

Cons: needs curved tines to hold bowls.

I really like the fact that the utensil baskets are on the side, it seems to have so much room for dishes. Super quiet and it really cleans the dishes. It even has a hot water setting, which is nice in older homes.
Would definitely buy this again but don't expect to need to for many, many years.

I've only used it for a month, but so far, I absolutely LOVE it! It is so quiet, washes great, doesn't have that nasty look on the inside. I do know my husband had a harder time installing it than our last. Everything was made to hook on the left side and we needed it on the right. There is also a part he had to go and buy before he could install it. I'm not sure why it was not included.
