I like the over all cleaning ability of this washer. I do not like the silverware holder. The plastic holders to keep the silverware up right during washing do not stay in place when trying to load or unload the silverware. The pieces to hold the silverware want to slide down into the holder and are useless when they won't stay in place. The holder has been replaced once and the 2nd one doesn't work any better than the first one. Looks like the plastic pieces warp and won't stay in place. I guess I will request another silverware holder and if that doesn't work I will not buy another KitchenAid. I loved everything about the first one I had and that's why I bought another one...I am very disappointed with the silverware holder.
Pros: easy to use, Convenient Features, Performance
Cons: very poor design of the silverware holder

I bought this model KUDS30IXSS6 in April 2012, had to replace control panel in Feb 2014, the upper rack brackets in Nov 2014, May 2015 pump died. Going to buy another dishwasher, but not a Kitchenaid!

The Kitchen Aid dishwasher is great...does a nice job and is very quiet. The only part I don't care for is the silverware caddy. The caddy itself is fine, it's those little dividers with the space for individual pieces of silverware. They don't stay in place and are a total nuisance. We replaced our 20 year old Kitchen Aid with another Kitchen Aid because it was so dependable!

Like it that there is less sound than the 21 yr dishwasher that we replaced. I like the stainless insides. 2 things that I have a problem with. 1--When I am working at the counter I often turn the dishwasher on with the buttons (push tabs) right at that level. 2--The silverware holder dividers do not stay in place which is rather irritating. Over all I like my new dishwasher and hope that it lasts as long. Thanks for asking.
