I am very happy with my new Kitchenaid dishwasher. I read many reviews before purchasing and was a bit worried, but it has been a dream. As long as I don't have any performance problems, I will highly recommend the machine. It is easy to load. It is super quiet. It looks great in my kitchen. So far, all the parts seem very substantial.
No criticism at all. Fingers crossed that it continues to perform!

I like the dishwasher very much but there are some inconveniences to the machine. The first is the push-buttons being on the front of the door and subsequently the dishwasher is easily turned on (I understand that the newer models have corrected this problem). Another inconvenience being the plastic slots for the silverware. They do not seem to be of very good quality plastic. The tabs that are supposed to hold them in place constantly slip and the slotted piece falls down into the silverware bin. Also, I find the prongs on the top slide-out bin to be too far apart to hold some of my smaller bowls and items without them falling through the corners.
Pros: Performance, Very quiet, Sturdy Construction, easy to use
Cons: slotted plastic silverware holders, top slide-out bin -- prongs too far apart, front push buttons

We bought this dishwasher to replace another Kitchen Aid dishwasher. We chose this because of the proscrub feature and all the other features. The disappointments are as follows:
1. does not clean as well as our old Kitchen Aid dishwasher
2. does not dry the dishes as well as our old Kitchen Aid dishwasher
3. The racks are flimsy - had to use a zip tie to keep the bottom rack from moving too far apart

We stuck with the Kitchen Aid brand because we were pleased with our old dishwasher. We are surprised by the downturn in quality over the years. the next dishwasher will NOT be a Kitchen Aid!

Easy to install, excellent rack layout and adjustments, amazingly clean dishes, super-quiet. My only criticism are the buttons on the control panel are really sensitive and brushing against the unit will sometimes cause things to happen. There is a 'lock-out' function which is easy enough to implement, if you can remember to do so. I HIGHLY recommend this dishwasher.

The dishwasher does a great job; however, I still have trouble, after 2 months of using it, figuring out how to arrange the dishes in the racks. There seems to be too much wasted space. In that respect I miss my old one.
Another problem I am having is, that if I lean against the countertop, the dishwasher may turn on as I then also touch the controls in front.

We have run our machine a few times now, and it has not failed to deliver. Very quiet, you have to listen for it, or even walk up to it to see if it is still running. And the dishes all come out very clean. Once, the dishes did not dry, but we did not turn on the proper features to do so. Every other time has been fine. We are very happy with our purchase.
