Great performance, but frustrating utensil baskets

This machine does a great job of cleaning and is very quiet, but takes a long time to complete the cycle. The rack design is not very good for supporting dishes. The greatest weakness is the basket for the flatware.The covers supplied to support the individual pieces are horrible and best discarded to avoid frustration with attempting to use them. KitchenAid should redesign the basket system and provide replacement baskets for everyone who purchased this and similar models.

Cons: unacceptable flatware basket design

It is still new and I am still learning how to use it. So far it is fine. My only problem has been reading the print on the keypad with my elderly eyes, at below eye level.

This dishwasher does an excellent job at cleaning whatever we throw at it. Love the racks that can be adjusted. It is incredible how quiet it is,my sister actuallly could not believe that we were able to have a conversation standing next to it. She thought it was off.

I Love, Love this dishwasher. It cleans my dishes to perfection and no spots when the cycle is complete. I like the jet feature on the back wall. It really does the job. Even my 13 year old grandson can operate it.
This is the first time that I have owned a Kitchen Aid and I will not have anything else.

So easy to use the front electronic panel. Every piece put in comes out sparkling; every time! We are still finding more features available with this dishwasher. The smallest things....like the little blue clips you can use to attach to small items so they don't "get lost" during a cycle; or the Proscrub feature. Gotta love that one. And Sooooo quiet! If it wasn't for the blue lights on the control panel indicating the current cycle, you simply cannot hear this dishwasher.....unless you lean down real close...... We love it!

Had it for 4 months. Used 2-3 times a week, on average.
Very quiet. Get the dishes clean. No complaints there. The silverware holder could be better designed, but that's being picky. Easy to install.
The only issue I have is that when prepping food on the counter top I rub against the controls and start it.
Only time will tell now how long it will last. That will justify the price for me. So far no problems.....

I do like my new KitchenAid dishwasher. It cleans well and is so quiet. The only negative is that it sticks out further than my old dishwasher and the buttons are so sensitive that when I accidentally bump it, I turn it on.
