Although this dishwasher washes really well, there are features that need improvement. Does not dry very well - especially cutlery. Removable cutlery covers come loose easily and do not remain in place very well - keep popping out.Interior arrangement of separators is awkward, but that may just be my particular dishes.
Pros: easy to use
Cons: drying poor

Bought this unit about a month ago to replace a Frigidaire dishwasher. I picked this unit because it has a flush, clean, front panel. My unit was to be installed at perpendicular, next to a drawer cabinet. So a handle bar at the dishwasher would prohibit the drawer from opening. I replaced the dishwasher myself and it was straight forward with no difficulties or surprises. So far, I have run the dishwasher several times under the normal and quick cycles with heated drying. The operation is reasonably quiet and dishes are cleaned spotlessly as expected (rinse aid was used). So far I have been satisfied with the performance of the unit.

We purchased this dishwasher on a friend's recommendation and have not been disappointed. It cleans great, is quiet and is super easy to load. The only reason I gave it a "good" in the design category is that it's installed directly where I stand to prep/cook and I'm constantly hitting the cancel/drain button as I move about. But that may be more of an installation problem than a design problem. We barely got the dishwasher into the space that we had!

We decided to pay more and get this model thinking it would be worth it. But we found it cleans fine, but not exceptional. Is lacking a rinse mode. Sound is low which is good. Overall we were hoping for more from a KitchenAid

The only thing I don't like is the buttons are very sensitive and if you brush against the panel while it is running and accidentally touch the cancel button - it cancels the cycle. Twice this happened and I could not understand why the dishes were not clean and then I figured it out. At least once a day someone working at the counter hits the cancel button and starts the cancel cycle. Maybe make it so it has to be hit twice to actually cancel the cycle.
