I am extremely happy with my new Kitchenaid Dishwasher. It is a nice looking addition to my kitchen, quiet while operating, and cleans better than any dishwasher I've owned to this point. I ordered the black exterior and it doesn't seem to show any fingerprints or anything else. Very happy with this purchase and would recommend to anyone needing or wanting a very nice appliance.
Pros: Extremely Quiet, Convenient Features, easy to use, Performance, Innovative
Cons: takes a long time to complete cycle
I would recommend this to a friend!

The racks do not utilize space for certain types of bowls, especially cereal bowls. There is a lot of wasted space & placing them close together doesn't get them clean.
Pros: easy to use

I really like this product. The features and performance is great. The noise level has really improved since my last dishwasher purchase over 8 years ago. Happy with my purchase. Only issue is that this washer is deeper (thats because it is larger inside) and it sticks out farther than my old dishwasher. But I can live with that inconvience.
Pros: reduced sound level is great, Convenient Features, Design, easy to use, Performance, Innovative
Cons: due to size inside it sticks out farther

Disappointed With Poor Quality

Take Two: After rejecting my earlier and honest review which was respectfully yet factually written, I will try my best to re-write, but I'm unsure how to me honest without being accused of making any "derogatory comments" which was the stated reason why my review was rejected
How can I state how unhappy we are with the disintegration of the internal components of this dishwasher without "tending to derogate"? Yes, your reputation may be harmed, but our $900 dishwasher began falling apart and failing after only 2 years of use? Our last Kitchenaid lasted 10+ years, but your quality is not what it used to be.
Specifics: plastic utensil holders became brittle, cracked, and got lodged in chopper cause motor not to run. $65 service call.
Plastic wheels on upper shelf became brittle and cracked, causing shelf to collapse. Ordered $75 in replacement parts.
Lastly, machine quit running mid cycle no matter what we tried. Replaced dishwasher out of fear for what will go wrong next.
Besides poor quality, unit has a design flaw causing it to start/stop if you accidentally brush up against the touch pad button on the front.
Pros: exterior looks nice
Cons: Poor overall quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This dishwasher is wonderful. It is very efficient and quiet. Dishes come out sparkling clean. The space inside is great and can accommodate a very large load with ease. I am so happy that we selected Kitchen Aid.

We bought two of these. The first time we used it it wouldn't drain. our plumber seem to fix it, then a few times we weren'tgetting any water during the cycle eventually we tried re arranging the dishes and it worked. I bit bumpy start.
Pros: easy to use
Cons: Not perfect

We purchased this dishwasher a few months ago, after doing without a working one for several years, and I'm very happy with it. I do find the 1 hr setting is working best for us, as the longer cycles tend to leave a residue (although this could be due to the detergent - Cascade is recommended and it's what was supplied with the machine when we purchased, but another brand was on sale when I needed some - stick with Cascade.) The 1hr cycle does a great job! Now, if only I could get it to somehow manipulate the rest of the family in loading their own dirty dishes! ;)
