The dishwasher works well and cleans the dishes effectively. The buttons are easy to use and the motor runs fairly quietly. All in all we are satisfied with this product.

Cons: smells odd sometimes after cycle runs

Great Dishwasher. Have used it for about 2 months and have no complaints. Very quiet and cleans dishes and pots spotlessly. Holds more than our previous dishwasher.

We love the adjustable top rack! Our wine glasses fit nicely in the top rack and the cutting boards on the bottom.
It's so quiet we can run it while watching TV in the open floor plan!
Pros: Performance, Convenient Features, easy to use

Second try with this model

I bought one of these very same dishwashers about 5 years ago. Same model number and color. I was never 100% happy with it. It didn't wash all that well but I have hard water. We switched to Finish brand washer tablets and that seemed to help it do a better job. The electronic control panel failed last month. I was going to buy a different brand or model at that point, but the only thing my local store had in stock was the exact same model as I previously had. I decided to buy it because I didn't have much choice unless I wanted to wait or travel long distances to shop for something else (I live in a rural area). So I bought the new one, and it works better than the previous one ever did. To be fair, we started using the Finish brand washing tablets from the very first wash and they just work better from the get go. I would recommend these tablets especially if you have hard water as the liquid detergent seemed to have a scale build-up over time, which could have contributed to the poor performance. I hope the control panel lasts longer on this one. If it does, I'll be very happy as long as the washer continues to perform.
Pros: easy to use, Performance
Cons: control panel is expensive to repair

Works as advertised.

It's a good unit, it works as advertised. It could be a little more "solid". Time will tell if it's corrosion resistant, which is what happened to my old unit. For now, it's as good a unit as I've ever had.
Pros: solid waste disposal., easy to use, Innovative, Convenient Features, Performance
Cons: needs to be a little more "solid".

Great features, mediocre performance

The Kitchenaid name initially got me to consider the product. Its features are impressive, and it's easy to use. Its cleaning, however, leaves much to be desired. My old GE unit cleaned everything better, and was dry as a bone inside when it was done. This Kitchenaid unit routinely requires me to re-wash an item or two, and it's never completely dry inside at the end of a cycle. Some time back I noticed that the "Drying" light was slightly, but constantly, illuminated. It gets brighter when the machine is actually drying, but the "Drying" indicator never goes fully dark.
I wouldn't buy it again, and I couldn't recommend it to anyone else.
Pros: easy to use
Cons: Ineffective
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
