We bought this machine thinking it was going to clean out dishes wonderfully. So far it has UNDER performed and is a disappointment. We have had the repair guy out to fix the machine 4 times in the past 5 months. This last repair seems to have fixed the problems.Yes multiple problems like dishes not getting even close to being cleaned, wet dished, foul odor. I am not sure whether it was a factory lemon or if it was our repair man then never fixed the problems in the first place on the first visit. Seems to be a great machine now that it is working.

This is a great dishwasher. My only complaint is the drying cycle does not completely dry the dishes. So I finish by opening the door, and pulling out the racks to air dry.
Just takes a little time to get use to. As my old 22 year old dishwasher that the KitchenAid replaced would dry the dishes bone dry. It also used a lot more electricity.
This KitchenAid is much more energy efficient, and less costly to run. Also cleans great.

We purchased this dishwasher after our old Kitchen Aid dishwasher finally gave up electrically after 22 years. Our last dishwasher was louder than our previous model but not loud enough to be a bother...but, you could tell when it was washing and carrying on! We were looking at the db ratings of all the new dishwashers, and decided that the super quiet ones were ridiculously expensive. So we though we would settle for this one...as long as it cleaned the dishes. We were very pleasantly surprised when we operated the dishwasher for the first time. We could not hear it at all unless we were right next to it and listening carefully. Paying for a quieter dishwasher would have been just plain stupid.

Our KitchenAid dishwasher was purchased last December. We love it. It's quiet, it CLEANS, our big square plates FIT. This one has more settings than we really wanted.. the KitchenAid dishwasher we purchased for our previous home had no extra settings... it simply cleaned the dishes, quietly and efficiently. What more could you ask?
