I really like the quality of this dishwasher. Feels sturdy & washes well. I would love a stand alone "dry" button. The one major problem I have with this machine in the front panel- it marks up with fingerprints and/on water steaks (would be nice if it had a different finish). Also the front panel is overly sensitive, I turn it on ALL the time by standing in front of it. Drives me crazy because it is right where I prepare food. It turns on unintentionally a few times a day! Grrrr. Also it is only 3 months old and the black wording is fading already. Great washer--- poor design with controls on front that turn on when I stand by it.
Pros: Cleans Well, quality of interior
Cons: design of control panel, stainless steel leaves water drips down front

This is our first Kitchen Aid dishwasher. We love the quiet and the amount of items that can fit in it. I am not a huge fan of the long utensil holder on the side of the machine. You have to open it all the way if you want to reach the open slots in the back. But, other than that we are happy with the product and would recommend it.
Pros: Performance, easy to use

Broke down 4 times in 4yrs. I give up on all Whirlpool products (Kitchen Aid, Maytag, Jenn-air & Amana). Company does not stand behind their products, customer service is awful. We also had issues with our Microwave-Oven Combo. I've spent $981 in repairs in just 4yrs after spending over $6K on KitchenAid products when re-doing the kitchen.

During the first year the dishwasher worked great, then the insides fell apart.

The expense of repair and cost parts make it not worth it. I want to warn everyone. Buyer beware!! We thought we were buying a better product, spending the extra money, but we are so disappointed.

I am satisfied for what I paid for this dish machine. After a recent purchase experience with $9000 worth of kitchen products that have failed me, this and my stand mixer are the ONLY TWO KITCHEN AID PRODUCTS I would vouch for. Very quiet operation . Never had an issue with unclean dishes or glasses. Overall its a Good buy!

Less than 2 years old and top rack broken

I have to say we are very disappointed in the quality of the top rack rollers. The wheels come off and the rack had been at risk for falling. Faulty design using molded plastic vs a metal. The cracked plastic has to be due to the heat/cold of the machine. Ironically one of my friends purchased this same machine and the exact same thing happened with them(and her machine is only a year old!) Very disappointed KitchenAid designers. We are getting a replacement part, but my thinking is it will happen again unless the entire top rack is replaced to be in metal vs the plastic.
