The utensil basket lids are weak. They remove too easy and collapse into the baskets.
Pros: Design

Want my old dishwasher back

Easy to turn on by accidently pushing buttons as work at counter. Yes there is a lock button, but who wants to be fiddling with that all the time? Don't think it cleans as well as my 20 year old former dishwasher, nor does it dry as well. There is often a scum or food residue left on the dishes, despite using all the (more expensive) recommended products in it. And the cycle takes much longer to complete, which is inconvenient if you want it done before you leave the home. As far as I am concerned, new dishwashers, in general, are not as good as older ones, and this one is right in line with that. Something to do with energy efficiency maybe.
Cons: too easy to accidentally turn on, leaves film on some dishes

We purchased this about a month ago along with a new double oven. Our initial impressions are positive. Does a good job cleaning and drying. Unit is very quiet. Adjustable upper rack is a nice feature as is the pro scrub option. We are able to load to full capacity and all dishes and silverware are clean and dry. The touch pad is very sensitive and we have activated it by reaching above it to our upper cabinets. We usually use the lockout to prevent this from happening. I left off one star for reliability as we have not owned it long enough to have an opinion.

Good not Great

Takes about 2 hours to clean a load using normal. Dishes do not come out that clean unless they are rinsed before putting in. Using a rinse agent is an absolute must. I will say that I applaud Kitchen Aid for the minimal use of water and the quiteness of operation. You don't know that it is on. Extremely quiet. But I would opt for a little more noise if the dishes were cleaner.
Pros: Quiet
Cons: VERY sensitive touch pad, okay cleaning

I've owned quite a few different brand dishwashers. They don't make things like they use to. So far so good. It's one of the quietest one I've ever owned. I have to put my ear almost touching it to hear if it is running.
Pros: Quiet, easy to use, Performance, Convenient Features, Innovative, Design
