This is my second Kitchenaid dishwasher -- the best made. I also have a kitchenaid smooth-top range and a Kitchenaid refrigerator as well as a mixer. We purchased the mixer soon after we were married in 1952.

This unit replaced a 6 year old whirlpool dishwasher. When it runs it is quiet and you can hear people talking. I was disappointed in the product when it turned itself on and the motor would run when it was not suppose to be running. It turned out to be the control panel and took two trips for the service to be done. After the control panel was replaced there were no more problems with it just turning on. I disappointed in the top wash rack as bowls in the upper rack do not come clean always and have to be wash again.
Pros: easy to use, Design
Cons: control panel failure

Our installation was delayed due to renovations but we are very happy with our selection. This is absolutely the quietest dishwasher I have ever seen. My only criticism is that it is too easy to accidentally push one of the buttons due to their placement. Once you are used to that, no issues. A great product for a good price!

After only one large load we love it. It is a small sample size but thus far perfection. No leaks, no noise, dry dishes, perfectly clean. Silverware holder works perfectly.

This is a great machine. Sound is not a problem at all. It really does clean dishes without pre-washing. Manual could be more helpful describing how to use various features. Takes some experimentation to get best results.
