As we have only had this dishwasher a month or two we are very, completely satified with the ability to clean the dishes as well as the silverware, we have heard many people complain about leftovers on their silverware.
the machine is so quiet you hardly hear it. our old one was like a train left the station and was going thru our house---even with a door closed. we are very satified with the dishwasher. thank you Kitchenaid

Great Washer with good features

We bought this to replace a Whirlpool which lasted only 5 years. Dishes fit well, the rack for the silverware is very convenient. It has all the features we wanted, and the dishes are always clean. We are very pleased with the purchase.

Love this dishwasher. Really gets the dishes clean. My only complaint is that the utensil holder is really poorly designed. I think that group needs to be audited as someone is afraid to state the obvious to the guy who designed it. It is like the new Coke...

I owned my last Kitchenaid for over 23 years. It was excellent. This one has many great features and is quiet, but it does not have the power that my last one did. There is often a haze remaining on the clean dishes. I do love the rinse agent viewer. So, I know that the machine is not in any need of the rinse agent, but the dishes and silverware often have a haze. The sales person and installer told me that due to the smaller/quieter pump, the machine will only last about half of the time as my last one. If the smaller pump results in the long running time, quietness, and the haze, give me my louder, shorter running, and more effective cleaning machine. The flexibility of height that the encased European models do not have, is a definite plus!!! I also like the lock feature as I lean into the machine often which results in my unintentional starting of the dishwasher.

I've owned 7 different homes and now I have a KitchenAid dishwasher--I will never again settle for less. The only problem I have with it is that the front is so shiny my little dog sees his reflection in the front and he is convinced there is a little brown dog living in there!

This is the updated version of the model we bought 10 years ago. It does get the dishes clean. However, the control panel at the top of the door is so sensitive that if I brush it with my hip, tummy, hand, etc when working at my kitchen counter, it starts the dishwasher! FRUSTRATING! This is frequent enough to be irksome. Also, the racks, top rack in particular, doesn't accommodate the dishes nearly as well as the old model. The upright prongs are too short and dishes fall over and clatter against each other. To avoid my dishes getting cracked or broken, we space them further apart, thus necessitating more frequent running of the dishwasher and costing us more money. Not too happy about that. Finally, while our dishes are coming clean, they are also getting etched! Our clear glasswear is getting cloudy. and yes, we've tried a variety of rinse aids. So, Kitchenaide, you had such a good product ten years ago, but someone had to go "improve" it and now it's mediocre at best. We went with Kitchenaide because our old machine worked so well and fit our dishes great. Now, again because of our experience with your product, we'd go looking at other brands. Disappointed!

I love the interior. Its seems so much more spacious than my last dishwasher.
It's more efficent in its use of space. When I open up the door the stainless steel interior always sparkles and I feel confident that my dishes are sparkling also. It's extremely quite and not bothersome at all when we are entertaining, watching T.V. or sleeping.

this product has a easy understanding of all it"s features. the dish washer is pretty quiet and it cleans quiet well. most nights when we put on the washer we put it on the 1 hour setting , and it does the job. the blue led lights are very bright , which acts like a night lite. i thank you for that, and for making a good product.. hope we get good usage out of this appliance.. thank you j&m
