We replaced another high end competitor appliance, that did not perform the cleaning function, for the Kitchen Aid. The Kitchen Aid dishwasher is excellent in every regard. The dishes and cookware are cleaned superbly, are dry and ready for reuse or placed into the cabinets.
The controls on the front panel are prone to be altered inadvertently when someon brushes against them. Controls should be placed on top or recessed into the front panel.
Pros: easy to use, Performance
Cons: Location of controls

This dish washer is great. I really love it. The only thing I miss and wish it did have is that the utensil basket was on the door like my old whirlpool was. I feel like I fit more in it on the bottom then this new one. I seem to have a problem fitting in stuff on the bottom then before with the old one. All the other features are great, I didn't want to give up anything I had before. I use the china or delicate setting, the sprayer on the back cleans every bit. I have no speck of anything on my dishes. All in all except for the one feature I lost with the basket on the door before to compromise on getting these other settings I'm very happy with it. I do have to keep on the control lock for the keys even though I don't have children here. As soon as you are near the counter the buttons go on they are very sensitive so I keep the control lock on and that fixes that. The top rack is great with it able to expand to put in taller cups.
Pros: Innovative, easy to use, Design, Performance, Convenient Features
Cons: wish the silverware basket was on the door, very touchy buttons

My husband purchased this dishwasher when I was out of town, because the dishwasher we had no longer worked. This dishwasher is great, I can't believe how much cleaner the dishes are. The only complaint is the silverware basket. The tops are flimsy and come off easily.
