Every thing Cuisinart is great except this design
Hard to hold and push buttons at the same time, sprays every where so must put bowl in a sink to avoid a change of aprons! I am accomplished cook and have used many kitchen devices. This one does the job as far as power is concerned, yet the awkwardness of the design makes the entire process difficult

Love having this in the house. Great for chopping veggies for dinner, making smoothies for breakfast, and mixing for baking. So convenient to be able to throw the pieces in the dishwasher and go. My only complaint (and I read about before hand and didn't realize exactly how big of a pain it would be) is that you pretty much need two hands to use it due to the locations of the unlock and start buttons. You have to use two hands all the time to use the blender. Even though that is a giant pain to me, I still think the rest of the blender is awesome. Everything comes out smoothly, which hasn't been true in the past of other hand-held blenders.

Had to replace my former Cuisinart smart stick and purchased the new smart stick 2, but was very disappointed with the new feature of the button on the top that requires the user to hold the top and side button at the same time. Bad design.
